Next Sunday (the 15th) at 9pm. Seen an advert tonight plugging Disco on E4 on 15th December & its actually 8pm. E4 is going to be dedicated to Star Trek next Sunday https://twitter.com/c4press/status/1201533344183472130?s=21 E4 will start from the very beginning & Netflix will show season 3 in 2020 in the U.K. the day after it airs in us RE: Star Trek Discovery - Rammyrascal - 15-12-2019 19:40 20 minutes!!! RE: Star Trek Discovery - skully - 12-01-2020 12:36 I'm expecting some cool, exciting stuff, I can't wait to see where they go with it. RE: Star Trek Discovery - GMach1 - 16-01-2020 02:32 Just watched episode one-a woman called Michael? That's bloody odd to start off with and a cameo from Michelle Yeoh, once a Bond girl in 'Tomorrow Never Dies' This is about as far removed from the original Star Trek series as you can get-anyone know who British actor Jason Isaacs is playing?(Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter films) Actress who plays Michael Burnham is tasty and they have certainly spent money on the effects. Not sure how it will pan out but must be popular if there are already a Season 2 to come and a 3rd season planned. 1 down, 4 to go recorded. Michelle Yeoh will be a regular on discovery, she isn’t just in episode one of season 1. Yes there is a season 2 and Season 3 is coming out this year. I’ve met the cast at Destination Star Trek in October 2018 including Sonequa-Martin Green Mary Wiseman And Doug Jones Stick with it as it gets really good RE: Star Trek Discovery - GMach1 - 16-01-2020 20:35 Ah ha you've revealed your real name, very brave. However you didn't answer my two questions. Who does Jason Isaacs play? And why is she called Michael? Oh I intend to stick with it, I've seen practically all the other forms of Star Trek, the last one the 7 series with Scott Bakula in it. RE: Star Trek Discovery - skully - 16-01-2020 21:02 Jason Isaacs plays Gabriel Lorca, he's in command of the USS Discovery. A great actor, playing a good character. I think they went that way with her name due to it being set in the future, and names are likely to become even more unisex, there are women already called Michael though, there's a well known actress called Michael Michele. Enterprise was great, this steps it up in regards to what they can do and where they can go. RE: Star Trek Discovery - Stemmw - 16-01-2020 21:10 The male names for female characters isn't anything to do with the future setting. Bryan Fuller the creator of Star Trek Discovery did the same thing with his other female lead characters, it's his gimmick. "George" from "Dead like me" and "Chuck" from "Pushing Daisies" are just 2 examples, I believe there are more. |
