Typically I find the board fine most of the day, its when it gets to about 22:50 ->23:35 it grinds to a hault every night, chatbox goes bazzerk about the same time.
...the kids should be in bed by then on a school night

@ 10:30 i signed in to chat. i posted 2-3 replies and gave up. it was taking in the region of 30-60 seconds to show in the chat box.
i signed in about 12am and it was still slow, than all of a sudden about 12:30am things went back to normal. of hit return, look up to see it on screen.
thus the pm i sent you admin.

Yes I experienced the same thing. However in a funny sort of way it shows how successful the forum is at the moment!!

well, you would think that with all the freezing and crashing and certain times, the freeloader guests would give up but it doesnt seem to stop them

I'm finding it painfully slow this evening. It's taken between 1 to 2 minutes to logon to the site and 30 secs to 1 minute to load a page. I have a reasonably fast 8mb connection.

ditto - it is ridiculously slow and it isn't a one-off, it's been happening more and more regularly. I gave up trying to open a page after a good minute and a half and actually timed this one which took 1 min 17 to open.
I can understand it at 11 o clock at night or if there was a Fernanda nightshow on but it's even happening at the quietest parts of the day.
