RE: Dr Who - Sm© - 24-10-2022 12:06 The good news - We only have to suffer Catherine Tate for 3 episodes The bad news - We only get to enjoy David Tennant for 3 episodes RE: Dr Who - Sm© - 28-10-2022 16:42 Say goodbye to wobbly cardboard sets, Disney are giving the bbc a buttload of cash RE: Dr Who - HannahsPet - 28-10-2022 16:47 just think its a distribution deal for the rest of the world for the content RE: Dr Who - Sm© - 28-10-2022 17:04 ^^ Article mentioned Hollywood budgets for each episode, so i recon it will be similar to the Marvel show budgets. RE: Dr Who - skully - 28-10-2022 17:22 Disney chucking in some money should mean improvements, but they have been continually making mediocre episodes for years, so... If they go too big (in Who terms), they risk ruining what Dr Who is, low budget has its charm. Interesting stuff though. RE: Dr Who - HannahsPet - 28-10-2022 17:27 wasnt dr who in a marvel comic once RE: Dr Who - Sm© - 28-10-2022 17:41 ^^ Marvel UK published DR Who comics from 1979 to the mid 90s. David Tennant will end up on Disney+ twice, as the Doctor and as the Purple Man in Jessica Jones RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 02-11-2022 22:03 I found it mostly alright. Like an anniversary show, for that all important... er... 59th one (23-10-2022 23:29 )*Kal-El* Wrote: Doctor Who Returns 2023I managed to miss that before, so cheers RE: Dr Who - Sm© - 03-11-2022 08:36 (28-10-2022 17:41 )Sm© Wrote: ^^ Marvel UK published DR Who comics from 1979 to the mid 90s. The Whoverse is technically a part of the Marvel Multiverse (Earth-5556), so in theory a version of The Doctor could team up with The New Avengers in crossover films, such as the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars (2026) movie, that would be cool RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 04-11-2022 21:50 For anyone who might give a toss, vis-a-vis Davo, Colin and PMG, here they were at a recent convention, talking a bit about said special episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqKPAYfq_PY And if you caught the Enfield/Whitehouse BBC tribute The Love Box in Your Living Room, you will have already seen this bit they did on Dr Who. Some might say Paul Whitehouse tears a hole in David Bradley's shameful antics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS_TLVVgqYg |
