That's an insane amount of complaints. I know the channel is question happily provides daytime wank material for guys with a foot fetish, but surely that can't be it. Also, the channel is fairly shite, so what the fuck justifies that amount of complaints is just bizarre, even more so if it was missed by the forum. bladewave

Putting it in perspective with what would in reality be a minscual size audience for daytime Chat Girl TV in relation the much bigger audience for ITV's This Morning and massive millions audience for X Factor etc 14 complaints is an awful lot and does make you wonder who is putting the complaints in surely not all normal normal members of the public?

Most ordinary people don't even realise Chat Girl TV actually exists and an awful lot of ordinary people might whinge about all TV, but they never act on their moaning or would even think of or know where to start or even contact OFCOM to complain so it does make you wonder.

Maybe the complaints just stems from the fact......Its SHIT?

Interesting how all those complaints come the very week CG broadcast an extra hour past 10pm, on TVX. Trying to cripple them before they can get going maybe? Rolleyes

I'm not for one minute suggesting that if ED Richards goes then all our prayers will be answered, nor am I expecting to see anything that comes close to what they were broadcasting during 2006. But to expect something along the lines of 2010 isn't too much of an unrealistic expectation level to have.

Last night for the first time in ages I seen some show's that gave us genuine hope, they seemed a lot less uninhibited. It was almost like the channels had more or less decided to start the party early. If ED does go then I think it would be the ideal time for the channels to approach ofcom to ask for greater leeway.

Last night for me had a sort of champagne on ice feel to it. I just hope that it was a good omen and not just another false dawn Cool

For some reason the Mirror files this under 'weird news', its actually E! Entertainment getting fined for showing Girls Of The Playboy Mansion during the daytime last december :

Nice little earner for Ofcom just before the christmas party Smile

That side of the show is getting more extreme and brazen, though, so perhaps it IS related to that. Full-on fetish requests appearing quite regularly now - domination/POV/crush stuff, sucking and sniffing - they moved beyond "what colour nail polish are you wearing?" quite a while ago. Some of the foot crowd are either a bit wet behind the ears or have become blase: it's 'just feet,' so we can ratchet up the requests as far as we like. Well, maybe that's about to change.

They also fined Sunrise TV £20,000.

This was the 7th breach by Sunrise since teleshopping rules were introduced in April 2010. That's right, 7 breaches in 18 months.

Factors were: Failures to make it clear that viewers were watching advertising material, offers to prescribe or remotely treat medical conditions and denigration of a business rival and/or rival product.

You can go into WHSmiths and openly buy a magazine where UK businesses openly advertise equipment to receive Euro porn channels.

Well eccles for almost the majority of your posts you are always spot on and 100% accurate and correct, however on this one you are wrong. Ofcom have got no power whatsoever and neither does the UK government have the power to block any other satelites coming from any other European Country because that would be called satellite jamming and it's been outlawed and is illegal throughout the European union. A recent BBC news story which I read yesterday will explain it further. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/8579719.stm

Furthermore ofcom also has got no right to dictate to the adult channels what they deem appropriate or non appropriate content to be broadcast when it's perfectly legal for any of the babe channels despite the fact they are FTA to show harder content because the watershed and the abilty to pin protect all the channels before the watershed covers each and every single one of them legally.

This is one of the reasons I have been saying since day 1 on this forum that the babe channels need to get in touch with the European Human Rights Court and report ofcom for prejudice towards them that has been biased and unconstitutional since day 1 of this kind of entertainment. If only they all knew their rights and hired a very good lawyer on behalf of all the channels then a successful outcome would be a foregone conclusion.

Fining Chatgirl? Eh? Cbeebies and Disney will be at risk next.
