It's illegal for supermarkets in France to waste food.

Supermarkets must either compost it or donate unsold or nearly expired goods to charity.

In the 1980's Pepsi Cola was launched and they did a taste test across the country(USA) asking people to sample their drink against Coca-Cola; surprisingly Pepsi came out on top and for the first in over 100 years Coca-Cola has a serious rival. In the 90's the company made a huge error by changing the taste of it and people hated it, some poured it away on the street outside Coca-Cola's building. They changed it back later calling it Coca-Cola Classic. Pepsi had some high name celebrities advertise their product most notably Michael Jackson(whom you might recall set his hair on fire after a pyrotechnic went off too near him) and the Spice Girls in the late 90's.

Robert Merrill was the man chosen to be the Coca-Cola loving builder that the women in an office lusted after, and 4 years later he is seen rising up on window cleaner's hoist to their delight - He was invited to the National TV Awards ceremony in 1998 and ended up winning an award. He said that when he was doing that second advert, it was shot in December and they spritzed him with water to make it look like he was sweating but all he got was goose-pimples(bumps) Big Grin

Last night Mabel won a BRIT award almost to the day that her mother won two in the 80's. Her mother is 80's singer/rapper Neneh Cherry whose father was Don Cherry, a jazz musician. Her brother Eagle-Eye had a couple of hits here too including 'Save Tonight'

Sheena Easton who won a talent competition called 'The Big Time ' in the 80's is the only singer of a James Bond theme tune to appear in the titles-For Your Eyes Only(1981). She looks like she might be topless but she isn't.
