Australia ended up at 273-5 for 5.
England dropped 3 chances, 2 of them easy.

EDIT ok yes the other was Monty.
3 dropped chances? I remember Root at full stretch which would have been a bonus had have caught it and a poor drop by Carbs off Monty at the end. Not only was that easy could be very costly as it was Hadin who is a fine player.
For me just about honours even on day 1 but as Swanny said you don't know what a par score is until the other side have batted. Good batting wicket, if we can get them out for under 350, I have a groundhog day feeling. Let's hope I am wrong.

Just don't like the look of England's batting line-up,with 3 players in Root,Carberry & Stokes with only a handful of Tast caps between them,Cook,KP,Bell & Prior really need to stand up.

England thought they had made the breakthrough as Stokes dismissed Haddin,but it was overturned for a no-ball.
Clarke makes his hundred,Haddin has passed 50.

England closed on 35-1 & it could've been worse if they had used a review for an lbw against Carberry.
