RE: England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14 - Charlemagne - 05-12-2013 08:50 Australia ended up at 273-5 for 5. England dropped 3 chances, 2 of them easy. ![]() RE: England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14 - Jack Bishop - 05-12-2013 11:08 EDIT ok yes the other was Monty. 3 dropped chances? I remember Root at full stretch which would have been a bonus had have caught it and a poor drop by Carbs off Monty at the end. Not only was that easy could be very costly as it was Hadin who is a fine player. For me just about honours even on day 1 but as Swanny said you don't know what a par score is until the other side have batted. Good batting wicket, if we can get them out for under 350, I have a groundhog day feeling. Let's hope I am wrong. RE: England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14 - Snooks - 05-12-2013 22:50 All boils down to how well England bat. Thats my cue to hide behind the sofa ![]() RE: England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14 - Boomerangutangangbang - 05-12-2013 23:24 Just don't like the look of England's batting line-up,with 3 players in Root,Carberry & Stokes with only a handful of Tast caps between them,Cook,KP,Bell & Prior really need to stand up. RE: England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14 - Boomerangutangangbang - 06-12-2013 01:33 Clarke on the attack from ball one,as Australia have quickly moved on to 308-5 in the first half hour. RE: England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14 - Boomerangutangangbang - 06-12-2013 02:38 England thought they had made the breakthrough as Stokes dismissed Haddin, but it was overturned for a no-ball. Clarke makes his hundred,Haddin has passed 50. Aus 371-5 RE: England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14 - circles_o_o_o - 06-12-2013 02:42 And a bit of verbals between Stokes & Haddin - the umpire had to get between them, it seems. RE: England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14 - William H Bonney - 06-12-2013 06:50 Australia have declared on 570/9 leaving England with 21 overs to face before the close of play. RE: England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14 - Snooks - 06-12-2013 07:25 10-1. Cook clean bowled by Johnson. This is looking very, very grim and with Perth to come where England's recent record is atrocious the series could be over inside three tests ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't like saying it but I fear the worst ![]() RE: England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14 - Boomerangutangangbang - 06-12-2013 09:48 England closed on 35-1 & it could've been worse if they had used a review for an lbw against Carberry. |
