Boo bloody hoo!! It is affecting us all, but some of us - the vast majority thankfully - realize that it is for the common good! i am biased as this ****ing thing will kill me in a heartbeat, and I don't consider myself expendable for the freedom of others as one toss pot MP tried to say some were/are! I'm in a similar situation. Compromised immune system due to auto-immune disease for which I have to take immuno-suppressant medication. I get covid and it's a very real possibility it could kill me even though I'm only in my early 30's and otherwise reasonably fit and healthy. People who can't be bothered with abiding by the restrictions should try and put themselves in other people's shoes, even if they think they themselves will be perfectly fine if they get it. Although I'm sure they won't as those types of people surely have elderly loved ones or loved ones at great risk and they still can't be arsed to cop on and just take the short term pain to beat this fucker. Sorry to say, but people like the ones you identify are too selfish to try and walk in other peoples shoes - when they should! Ironically, they are some of the same people who have no problem telling others what shoes they should be walking in, when it comes to their judgmental opinionated finger pointing on issues of others decisions/ choices that have damn all to do with them. RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - hornball - 06-01-2021 15:31 I feel the need to apologise for the like of Sammy Wilson (sorry to say from this parish - NI) and his latest outburst in the commons in rejecting lockdown Measures! Ignore him and his unqualified bullshit verbals! Same with Phillip Schofield and his lashing out at professor whitty - yes can you believe it!! Overly paid/indulged celebrity contributing nothing, and worth less. I knew we would hear nothing but criticism with no solutions from the likes of these two (and others in the house of commons debate:huh and I was right!! Schofield wants Whitty to stop giving the facts and 'scaring' people - Yes Chris, spin us some useless crap instead - oh wait, no that is not your role - we the vast majority, appreciate your work, and your candid analysis. Sorry it is you and your colleagues who have been let down so badly!! RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - Charlemagne - 08-01-2021 10:32 A study has just reported that the Pfizer vaccine works just a well on the covid varients. RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - Tumble_Drier - 08-01-2021 12:39 Moderna vaccine approved but won't be available until Spring. 17 million doses on order RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - Charlemagne - 08-01-2021 16:16 London NHS has gone to Major Incident. Mayor Sadiq Khan has declared an emergency after there were fears of the NHS being overwelmed. 1 in 30 Londoners are believed to have the virus. RE: Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it? - hornball - 08-01-2021 21:57 A question has been going around in my head!! I wonder what is the determining factor in deciding who gets what vaccine?? Is it purely geographical, or is there a more scientific approach?? based on the individual recipient and their personal/health circumstances?? Will the astrazenaca vaccine - for example - potentially react differently to Moderna or not - as an example??
