7 man playoff, the most for a USPGA event is 6. Casey put his drive into the trees & failed to make par, as did home favourite Matsuyama. Mcllroy was elliminated on the 3rd extra hole, C T Pan secured the Bronze medal on the next as Morikawa missed out.

ISTR Rose won it in 2012, seemed like he was breezing it that day. It's not an event that people connect with the Olympics, but good to see such an impressive field in at the death.

And 2 golds for Italy in athletics after Hughes was disqualified in Men's 100m final. I think for once the Women's 100m final was the better race. GB athletice might take anotehr day or two to get medals and migt havbe to do it without Asher's influence.

Boxers doing pretty well with 3 gold medals possible. And I wonder if rowing funding will be looked at after £27m funding given and only one bronze to show for it. I've not known us to come away from Olympic rowing the last couple of games with a medal or two.

It appears that a Belarusian Krystsina Tsimanouskaya was being sent back home after she critised the coaches.
She was taken to the airport but did not catch the flight back to Turkey. She's supposedly been taken away by an activist group for her security and she's supposed to be asking for asylum in Germany or Austria on Monday.

Emily Campbell also guaranteed a medal in the 87kg weightlifting after a PB in the clean and jerk element.
