Watched the series 6 finale and I must say series 6 has been by far the best since series 1. The more serialised focus on the main plots and villains has really helped as opposed to piss poor one dimensional metas of the week that plagued series 3 onwards.

The Bloodwork/Crisis first half and Black Hole/Mirror Master second half were both very good storylines, with some excellent character development and the best recurring villains since Reverse Flash. Only shame was not being able to complete the story as intended due to the Covid lockdown. Other than that though I am very pleased and hopefully they continue with this storyline format in future series. (Supergirl has also benefitted from more serialised storytelling as opposed to dull and pointless villain of the week boredom, series 5 has been it's strongest so far)

The reason why Season 6 is so different is because of the new show runner, it helped that he was massive of the comics similar to how I am which helped the series. They still do metas of week the difference is is woven into the story arc of this season. In a post a made before the star of season 6 the idea was to have different story arcs a idea they got from comics and graphic novels, so you have the first arc with the first villain Blood Work and would set up pre Crisis, the middle act was the second villain Mirror Master and post Crisis and the aftermath of it which is still going on. The final arc was supposed to be massive cliffhanger which lead directly into Season 7 and yeah I know what it was originally supposed to be let’s just say it was gonna be massive cliffhanger which would have taken the shine to next level. Now I am hearing there gonna possibly gonna use the original cliffhanger at the start of season 7 and it might be a shorter season hence why the crossover is much smaller. As for the previous villains in other seasons I didn’t mind them because at least they trying to be different but then how do you top reverse flash................
