I do sympathise, especially in the context of a babeshow. But I have seen it argued that technically that is not the logic of the idea of a 'gift' (Derrida. Of all the thinkers!). Rather that looks like a token used to try to buy something and a gift should have no strings attached. I am sure this has been argued at length elsewhere on the forum.

To be honest I would be tempted to give Danica a small gift, perhaps a £20 product or something, just as a way of saying thanks for the two years where she was the most interesting one to follow (for me and quite a few others I understand). She might take it in that spirit and get a moment of encouragement (as well as a free product!). Maybe I will do that. Does she still have things of that price range on her list? lol
