RE: UFC - mitchell - 24-02-2013 13:45 The Josh Koscheck decision was a fucking joke. In a week when Dana White is saying fighters got dropped for not wanting it enough, we get a decision like this is just mental. That could be his last fight in the UFC & all because a ref got giddy. He took one shot when on his hands & knees then rolled over to take two half shots & the ref jumps in, the fact he wasn't defending himself for a split second may say, yeah he was a little stunned.... For a micro moment, but he was a long long way from being finished. I'm also not buying the Ronda Rousey arm bar, the arm wasn't even fully extended & she tapped, you don't tap through just knowing what’s coming, you tap when you can't get out of it!!! The Machida v Henderson fight was a massive disappointment. I can see why the fans booed Machida but in a fight with fighter of this calibre, neither wants to make that little mistake that will end their fight. Lyoto Machida's style may not please everyone but I'm with Joe Rogan in appreciating it. His style of elusiveness makes it hard to attack him, so why would he be the aggressor against a puncher like Dan Henderson. His style is from ancient times, which may not fit fully into the modern fighting sport, but show me a fighter that wouldn't want that talent. A pretty shit event overall! I've just found this, fighters pay over the last 7 years. http://www.mma-manifesto.com/ufc-fighter-salary-database/salary-main/ufc-career-fighter-earnings.html RE: UFC - mitchell - 24-02-2013 16:49 UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche Main Card Women's Bantamweight Title - Ronda Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche - Rousey Submission Light Heavyweight - Lyoto Machida vs. Dan Henderson - Machida Decision Bantamweight - Urijah Faber vs. Ivan Menjivar - Faber Submission Welterweight - Court McGee vs. Josh Neer - McGee Decision Welterweight - Josh Koscheck vs. Robbie Lawler - Lawler TKO Preliminary Card Heavyweight - Brendan Schaub vs. Lavar Johnson - Schaub Decision TKD2008, groundnpound, Mitchell - 7 199lives, Mitchell - 6 Outside The Cage: Predictions analysis With all predictors scoring high & 3 coming out as joint winners of the 157 card, there's no change in place standings. groundnpound increases his lead to 3 predictions over the champion 199lives. Babeshows UFC Open-weight Predictions Grand Prix champion RE: UFC - groundnpound - 24-02-2013 18:55 White said last night he's really close to pulling Nick Diaz from the GSP fight for 3 Primetime no shows. Him and his Brother have missed the 3 interview sessions for the show, leaving the video crew with nothing to shoot. This clown should get the chop. Was initially thinking the same but there was a camera shot from behind Rousey's head that showed it was tight if not at the angle that Miesha Tate's arm was. Any woman not called Ronda currently signed by the company know they are only there because Dana White needs some female opponents for her. Why risk major injury / a long lay-off when you could need to continue your career with someone like Invicta Fighting Championships because WMMA in the UFC only amounts to the odd number 1 contender match / title fight at one weight and once you've had your chance you're on the outside looking in. http://coedbc.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/ronda-rousey-armbar.png?w=600&h=350 RE: UFC - groundnpound - 24-02-2013 20:26 Rousey executed it perfectly for me. You could see the elbow start to bend backwards... Job done. RE: UFC - mitchell - 25-02-2013 20:19 I've only seen the angle they showed on tv but I'll take your word for it Carl13, it looked like she tapped or moved her hand ready to just before the elbow was bent. I agree with you on the women in the UFC through, how are they gonna manage the fights that aren't title fights/contenders, they'll have to stick them on the main cards to get exposure & they'll need to keep them in the US as I doubt Europe will take to them this early. I think the no shows have been sorted, Dana knows this fight has to happen before Diaz leaves the UFC or he gets rid of him as it's the only fight that genuinely excites the fans. Once this fights over & if GSP wins then you can talk about Johny Hendricks, if he win of course. I don't agree with Robbie Lawler moving to 10 in the rankings & Josh Koschek dropping to 16, Paul Daley 29, John Hathaway 30 Dan Hardy 38 WOW! even if he beats Matt Brown (Never been KO'd) he won't get top 20, good job Dana loves him.
