Boris to announce new restrictions today.

Sturgeon wouldn't say what they were. But did say she didn't think they went far enough.

Think it’s these quarantine hotel plans it looks like given that it’s only going to apply to certain “Red List” countries and not all countries as everyone is calling for

Also Boris has now confirmed the plan is to start opening Schools from Monday 8th March and will set out plans to ease lockdown in the week beginning 22nd Feb. So this current lockdown has basically another month to run annoyed

Boris plans to reopen the schools after half term. There a chance that he could offer school workers the vaccine after the middle of February trance of injections is completed.

That would be another U-turn. The strategy is to work through the age groups & vulnerable. Groups 1-4 by mid Feb, then 5-9 ages 69-50. Age & certain medical conditions being a major factor in Covid deaths.

The average age of teachers in the UK is 39. The most vulnerable teachers should be eligible next, under the original plan.

I have never seen BJ as crestfallen as he was today!! He knows deep down that some of his decisions have contributed to the numbers - despite the 'we did all we could'. I almost felt sorry for him, as the heavy weight he has had to carry is clearly impacting hard! I am less sympathetic when it comes to the govt line that with the 'benefit of hindsight' we might have done things differently! That wont wash, as a lot of the advice he decided to decline to follow, was not in hindsight, but a clear forewarning of what was likely to flow from the decisions he was contemplating at the time, and ultimately made! I think deep down he is all too well aware of that! It actually insults those who have suffered so much, to claim otherwise.

Where I felt most sorry for him, was in having to deal with that 'knob' Kuinsberg and her self serving rant! (I couldn't bring myself to watch her pose her question, as I knew what would be forthcoming - I bet I was right)??

One of the few things the Government has got right is the vaccination programme. Military Logistics and NHS delivery have been superb and now is not the time for tinkering just because Starmer is sniping from the sidelines.

If we can get hold of extra doses then by all means give them to school staff but with the EU playing silly buggers I would think that's unlikely.

Wtf is Boris on, coming up here, from London, in the middle of lockdown bladewave

Talking about the referendum, the Prime Minister insisted that talking about the referendum was irrelevant. He then went on to say that endless talk about referendums was not what was needed now and finished off by declaring that he did not come up here to talk about the referendum.
