The Karate wasn't what I expected.
I expected a competition where the last guy standing wins the gold. Instead it was just a series of poses. And lots of noise. No contact at all.
I turned over and watched the women volleyball instead, mostly the tall blonde Lativian girl.

Their individual records at major Championships are both outstanding and they seem to have been around forever. However Laura is only 29 and Katie is 27 so hopefully we'll see both of them at Paris!
Laura is riding in the Omnium too which is probably her best event.

^Men putting the medals around the Women's necks has always made me squirm, particularly in the gymnastics where the competitors tend to be younger.
