Firstly with regards to Dunfermline putting in a legal challenge for promoting Dundee and denying them then best of luck to them because they'll need it
I used to think John Yorkston was a decent man but all I can see from him now is a baby thats just spat it's dummy out for not getting it's own way. Dunfermline were relegated last year from the SPL, fair and square because they weren't good enough, Yorkston would be better placed focusing on how to rebuild the team for a promotion challenge rather than wasting his time on such a ridiculous appeal.
Just to reitarate SPL rules state that if Rangers had gone into liquidation before the end of last season then Dunfermline would have avoided the drop but because this wasn't the case it was only proper and fair to promote the runners up of Division 1 instead to replace the fallen giants. Yorkston and Dunfermline should be gracious and accept the rules.
I'd personally like to say that I'm absolutely delighted to welcome Dundee back into the SPL. If the Derby match was anything to go by it won't be the first time we give the Dee a humping but more importantly than the result was the the attendance of the 10,000 plus crowd which more that supports the loss of Rangers being replaced by Dundee

rangers have only 13 players, they cannot add more players until they are members of sfa. the liquidation of rangers oldco from june 14th would take 6-8weeks, 2/3 of august. bdo insolvency will report why rangers oldco failed.
the sfl have to sort which teams go into div 1 and 2. rangers newco first game is in the highly prestigious ramsden cup.

Because Rangers are not yet registered with the SFA as a new club they are not allowed to even play any friendly games. So when the new season begins for them in Division 3 they will be in for a real shock.
In the SPL teams allow you time and space on the ball with the protection of the referee and also the tv cameras recording every single incident. No such luxury awaits Rangers in Division 3. This is what the new Rangers are going to have to suffer.
- Unplayable surfaces.
- Players of lesser abilty will put 11 men behind the ball against them.
- When in possession they will have their heels and legs kicked to fuck.
- No more pretty football. Nice pretty passing football will be a thing of
the past.
- Heavy handed policing whenever the Rangers support are away from
home.
- Being exposed to all the elements on a cold and miserable December.
- inadequate changing rooms, some of them will have no heat or even
hot water.
Life in Division 3 will be anything but a stroll in the park for the new Rangers, they will be in for an almighty culture shock. They will have to play no nonsence and direct football. A lot of pressure is going to be on especially the younger players so they are going to need some experienced pro's to give them some much needed metal.
If Rangers think their ordeal is just about to end, think again, it hasn't even started yet for them. Once the season kick's off will the stark reality set in once all the novelty has firmly worn off.

Can anyone who understands football explain to me why Rangers are entering the Scottish third divison? Why don't they apply to the Northern League in England and work their way up from there? Apparently the Northern League would consider them, so surely Rangers would be better off doing that than bothering with the Scottish League? They could end up in the Premier League in a few years, since if Swansea can do it from Wales then Rangers could from Scotland?

Can you tell where you read that the Northern League would consider Rangers? I think the reason Rangers would not go for the Northern League is because they want to be in either League 1 and 2 and so it won't take as long to reach the promised financial land of the English Premier League. But considering the financial situation Rangers are in, they might jump at the chance if they want to or are offered the chance to enter the Northern League in England

the new and improved tv contract from sky has not been signed by sky since november last year it had a stipulation in it saying rangers and celtic have to be in the spl. it seems sky could walk way and spl will have no tv coverage for next season.
Whittaker "We owe no loyalty to the new club, there is no history there for us." he is correct, shame some of the supporters dont get that. i have the feeling that many would have stayed with rangers oldco even in div3.

Has an extra team been promoted from Div. 3 to 2 and from Div. 2 to 1 to even up the numbers. Does anyone know.

Hope i am wrong, but the SPL without Rangers is on very shaky ground finance wise. Cant see Sky pouring money into a contract that doesnt include Rangers. This could put a lot of clubs into a downward spiral to a point of no return. For the sake of Scottish football, lets hope Rangers dont see their future elsewhere.
