Dream on..... I just said you have improved and should have won more games in your group? Why bring brasil up? Remind me again how many world cups have you failed to qualify for? How many world cups have you won? Wink

Let's just put things in perspective .England finished top - unbeaten , in a group with a few difficuilt away games .Their record stands comparison with any other European Country who have qualified .
1990 - qualified unbeaten = semi-finals in Italy .
October 1973 faced Poland in a group they were supposed to win with ease .Lost away and drew at home .
Result : Poland reached semi-finals in West Germany '74.
So called minnows are too easily underestimated by so called "experts" and give them an extra incentive to go out and cause an upset .
Very few internationals are "gimmee's" these days and ALL the major teams have been embarrassed at one time or another .
1 defeat in 20 games ,most teams would give their right arms for that sort of record .Even Brazil or Spain .

All I said was England should have won more games than they did, why people have to become defensive and sound upset i don't know, I also said you had improved and played well..... and who ever it was who said England would qualify from the South American group a piece of piss I have my doubts, Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay, Columbia, Chile...

I was merely stating the euro qualifying zone is harder to qualify in than south america one and brazil didng even have to do that

your quick to slag england off will we win prob not will your lot win they will prob get to final and choke like 98

I didn't slag England off!!! I said you had improved and played well!! all I said was they should have won some games that they draw! But If you want to talk about choking remind me what happened to you in 1990, 1996, 1998, 2004, 2006, 2012 ? Wink

its called football fernandez no country on the planet wins every single game, a draw in poland and ukraine is not terrible, the only poor games were montengro away and ukraine at home, brazil don't win every game in qualifying didn't you lose to boliva when you had to qualify for the 2010 world cup?

RE: England world cup 2014 qualifying campaign - Fernandez Esperenda - 17-10-2013 00:50

Joey I know it's called football yes I am aware, did I say a team wins every single game? please quote where I said that?, I'm willing to speak to you if you talk sense for once and not act dumb like you usually do.

All I said was England SHOULD be expected to win against all the teams they had in the group they were in, that is all, I didn't say at all England MUST win all their games.

There were games that they SHOULD have won quite comfortably that they ended up drawing, that is all I said.

Yesterday I congratulate England and say that they played well in a few games when almost every body else on here was moaning about qualifying.... so I was hardly slagging England off.

This is a thread about Englands qualifying campaign, that is why I commented about what I thought about England.... why people feel the need to Bring up Brasil I don't know? Maybe they are jelous or something? If I was English nobody would even have bothered to reply. I believe you call it here jump on the band wagon?

The only reason I mentioned England failing in penalties 6 times is because of that hannahspet guy for some reason bring up Brasil in an Engand qualifying thread.

RE: England world cup 2014 qualifying campaign - Joey 27 - 17-10-2013 01:04

i brought up brazil cos its relevant to the conversation, you say england should be beating all the teams in their group, well do brazil win against all the teams in south america qualifying, of course not cos if football was so predictable we wouldn't watch it, there has always been surprise results in football and there always will be and no team wins every game, now get this through your thick skull
