RE: Babestation Starlets - General Chat & Discussion - mr mystery - 06-09-2014 10:16 Just remember freeview viewers, that a channel called BS2 is already on Freeview Ch 177, it used to show adverts for various BS services, it now broadcasts the live Asian Connections show for a hour or so in the early morning, so if they could acquire a few more hard to acquire freeview air time hours from somewhere, it could be broadcast on freeview as well. Cellcast/BS already have a ready made channel with a paid for freeview channel slot and licence to put it on . I notice right now that Asian Connections is being broadcast on the Sky BS Starlets/BS2 channel 945, according to the program guide it will broadcast from 8am to 2pm every day . You need your head examined RE: Babestation Starlets - General Chat & Discussion - Tractor boy - 06-09-2014 10:33 Does anyone know who uses the 176 & 177 channels during the other 23 hours of the day ? I see that several posters have said this, but I'm going to go against the trend and say I'm not surprised. To me the channel didn't seem to create that much interest. I think this forum is a good indicator of the level of interest in a channel and if you take the recently closed Studio 66 USA as a comparison its main thread received 114,000 views in 3 months. Compare that to Starlets of Babestation, discontinued after 1 month when it's main thread had reached 15,000 views. That's a big difference - 38,000 views a month against 15,000 views in a month - and yet Studio 66 USA has still closed. To me that says that the end of the starlets channel should not be seen as a surprise. You get 240+ FTA channels, quality hardware and the latest sky guide with free updates. But you shouldn't complain that you can't watch on FreeView its like complaining that you cant watch because you don't have a TV. RE: Babestation Starlets - General Chat & Discussion - hairbald - 06-09-2014 12:17 As I said a while back, I always saw the Starlets name as a way of launching a new channel, making sure everyone mew where it was, and then it just becoming a standard channel. I agree with the poster who said its good that its integrating because the format was a bit restrictive as you had lots of non-interactive 241s and I'm just desperately wanting to see Amy naked (which just didn't look like it would happen on Starlets). danger is of course the "Starlets" girls loose out on screentime to the usual suspects. Failure compared to S66 USA? Well BS didn't lose any money setting up a channel and studio in the US when any idiot could see it wasn't going to work. Cynical marketing ploy? - possibly RE: Babestation Starlets - General Chat & Discussion - mr mystery - 06-09-2014 12:34 (06-09-2014 12:17 )hairbald Wrote: Failure compared to S66 USA? Cynical marketing ploy? - possibly Also, BS didn't lose some of their top girls when this channel was set up either, unlike STD 66 who when they set STD 66 USA looked to have lost some of their existing girls to rival channels to make way for the USA Porn stars . So not only did they spend money to set up studios and a show broadcast from the USA, they lost some top girls.to their competitors . And not only that, the USA Sky broadcast channel is under investigation by Ofcom, if they are found in breach it could possibly cost STD 66 money . So all in all the USA experiment could end up being a right disaster . What you describe as a marketing ploy would be such a monumentally stupid marketing ploy that it's hard to believe that given 5 minutes they couldn't think of at least 20 better marketing ideas. |
