I watched the news item today about the rare American catbird that has been sighted in Cornwall.
It's so called because of its distinctive meowing sound.
They played a sound of it and I said to the wife, that dow sound like a cat, more like a bloody crow.
I know I'm getting on, but all me faculties work.

Commentators on radio and television who find it hard to grasp simple English and substitute a T for a D-especially Cricket "and here comes Joe Root who'll be badding for England" People who say "congradulations" instead of congratulations when there clearly is no D in it. Oh and in football these bloody pundits who can't say HALF properly "well he played well in the second alf!" please stop it and Alan Shearer from saying 'BUT' after each sentence all the time(BOOT in his case) Finally radio DJ's who constantly talk over the beginning of the record and towards the end interrupting it!!
