RE: Liverpool FC - alwayswanking - 02-01-2013 19:30 Looks like Joe is going to West Ham, be good to get him off the wage bill. It's a shame about how his Liverpool career has gone because there's no doubt he's still a good player, but so injury prone RE: Liverpool FC - Mr77 - 02-01-2013 20:12 (02-01-2013 18:29 )Fernandez Esperenda Wrote: Seeing as he's number 15 does this mean we are going to sign a new number 9 or is he 15 because carroll is registered as 9? are we allowed to give somebody 9 with carroll being at west ham? He could of had 9 as you can use the number if the players out on loan , but I doubt he would've wanted it as he prefers 23 but that's Carraghers and he won't be giving that up any time soon . RE: Liverpool FC - The Truth - 02-01-2013 21:41 3 nil - Suarez 18 for the season,Stirling getting his 2nd Liverpool goal & Sturridge completing move = Good start to the new year.....Happy Days RE: Liverpool FC - groundnpound - 03-01-2013 01:13 Got a good feeling about Daniel Sturridge. Great signing for me. Think he'll be a star. RE: Liverpool FC - groundnpound - 03-01-2013 01:27 Suarez pic from the match earlier... Similar to Ronaldo pic from France 98... RE: Liverpool FC - Dinomeister - 03-01-2013 02:10 Yay, I've found a thread on my team. Seems like many Liverpool fans on here aswell.. well guys you got a new pool buddy! I watched the game tonight, played great, Sunderland were piss though.. I just hope we keep the momentum up over our next few games, Utd,City, and Arse all away are killers.. I'm on the fence with the Sturridge signing, he has got quality and if he can replicate his form like his bolton and early Chelsea days than great, just hope this doesn't turn out to be the "typical lpool signing, overpriced Brit player" "you could of had Ba for 7mill" all the neutrals would say. Hope we bring in another player, not liking Rodgers saying he doesnt expect anymore in, maybe thats a smokescreen, but I dont like this player in, player out business, need to add depth. Incorrect. In the 2010/11 season Alberto Aquilani was assigned his number 4 shirt from the previous season. He was then loaned to Juventus and when Raul Meireles was signed from FC Porto on the final weekend of the transfer window he was then handed the number 4 shirt. So if Liverpool were to sign a player then we would be perfectly in our rights to give him the number 9 shirt as Andy Carroll is not with the club at present. It has happened on a few occasions previously also that players have changed their numbers mid season. RE: Liverpool FC - William H Bonney - 03-01-2013 15:32 To clarify, I believe the rule is that players may change squad numbers between seasons, but players are not allowed to change their number during a season (although a player may change number if he changes clubs mid-season). This being the case, if Liverpool are sure that Carroll won't play for them again this season, there is nothing to prevent another player being given number 9. Although if Carroll were still at Liverpool next season one of the two number 9s would have to be given another number for 2013/14. RE: Liverpool FC - The Truth - 03-01-2013 17:19 Young striker Adam Morgan set to complete a youth loan move to Rotherham United until Feb 9. Hopefully he'll get some first team action, and this should stand him in good stead for the future. http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/striker-completes-loan-move RE: Liverpool FC - groundnpound - 03-01-2013 17:36 It's like a months work experience for the lad! Do him good. Rotherham are a decent side. If they kept him til May he could win them the league. |
