Ed Miliband is expected to stand down today and wouldn't surprise me if Nick Clegg goes too

It's been a bad election for opinion pollsters then, as every single opinion poll predicted a hung parliament. The exit poll on the other hand looks to have been reasonably accurate, even though it too predicted a hung parliament.

Would anyone be interested in a poll for choosing the next Labour leader on here? let me know

I think the conservative victory is pretty much down to the press ramming down our throats what damage a Labour/SNP coalition would have done to our country if it Labour had won but didn't have enough seats...

Andy Burnham will undoubtedly replace Milliband. Although I'd personally prefer Caroline Flint (lovely udders on 'er). I'm not at all surprised that Ed has failed so miserably. A gormless creature without a hint of charisma. Might be a nice guy but people haven't forgotten the way he stabbed his own brother in the back just so he could take charge of Labour. Had David Milliband won the leadership it might've gone better last night/this morning for Labour.

Oh well, five more grim years under Cameron. Well done UK (claps sarcastically).

Normally I don't post immediately after posting, however, I think for Labour one key thing they must take into account for the next leader role. The next General Election in 2020 will most likely be against Boris Johnson, so now is the time to go for a strong personality with bollocks o' steel. Burnham may be the best option.

If the Labour leadership race is won by who has the best " udders " Lisa Nandy would be a clear winner.

they need to clean house and start fresh. i think they'll win the next election by landslide due to how bad the next five years are going to be for the poorest and sickest in your country.
