Main Card

Cain Velasquez © vs Junior dos Santos
Daniel Cormier vs. Roy Nelson
Gilbert Melendez vs. Diego Sanchez
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Shawn Jordan
John Dodson vs. Darrell Montague

Preliminary card

Tim Boetsch vs. C.B. Dollaway
Nate Marquardt vs. Hector Lombard
Sarah Kaufman vs. Jessica Eye
George Sotiropoulos vs. KJ Noons

STACKED card that is. Can't wait!

Velasquez vs JDS - If i had the power to make one fight in the UFC right now it would be this one and it happens Saturday night. I'm backing Cain to win but who knows really!? Both oustanding fighters to me. Wouldn't be surprised by any outcome.

The great thing is that these guys could have 4 or 5 fights before their careers are over as well!! Smile

Diaz v Bisping should it happen which will depend on Nick Diaz, would have the potential to be one of the best fights in a long time.

I doubt it would play out like that if it did happen in their next fight. Diaz has been out a while & would be moving up in weight & Bisping would be coming back from a bad eye injury lay off to face the pepper pot punching of the relentless Nick Diaz.

A very interesting match up, but a very dangerous one for Michael Bisping considering his title desire...????

UFC 166 looks a good card this.

Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos - Velasquez Decision
Daniel Cormier vs. Roy Nelson - Nelson TKO
Gilbert Melendez vs. Diego Sanchez - Melendez Decision
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Shawn Jordan - Jordan TKO
John Dodson vs.Darrell Montague - Dodson Decision

Probably the best UFC event ive seen last night, what a show!! Melendez vs Sanchez is surely the greatest fight in UFC history, unbelievable.

What kind of beast is Cain Velasquez to be able to beat a fighter like Dos Santos like that for 5 rounds, absolute machine. Agreed with Dana White though, ref should've stepped in and stopped it in the 3rd. Serious beating Dos Santos took, too tough for his own good according to White... Couldn't agree more.

RE: UFC - mitchell - 22-10-2013 20:43

I wasn't too impressed with the main event to be honest. dos Santos has a BBJ black belt, yet he's not shown anything but a stand up game even in the 2 fights he's been dominated by Velasquez. Surely if things aren't going your way you change it up & try something else... No he's just stood there & took a beating. Yeah Cain is top class but still dos Santos in 2 fights has pretty much done nothing.

I wasn't that impressed with Velasquez's tactics either, yes he dominated the fight & stayed away from dos Santos's dangerous hands, but watching him hold dos Santos up against the cage for the most part of 25 min was a bit boring after a while.

I'm setting up an open weight grand prix, the first fight will be.... Junior dos Santos v Diego Sanchez Wink

UFC 166 Medical Suspensions: dos Santos Out Indefinitely; Velasquez Possibly Out Until April

The UFC 166 main event between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos settled the trilogy between two of the best heavyweight fighters in the world, but it may also have put both of them out of action for quite some time.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Tuesday issued the medical suspensions for UFC 166: Velasquez vs. dos Santos III, which took place on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Toyota Center in Houston.

UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is suspended until April 18, 2014, unless he gains earlier clearance for a possible broken jaw. Junior dos Santos is out indefinitely, pending clearance by an ear, nose, and throat doctor for a possible nasal fracture.

RE: UFC - groundnpound - 23-10-2013 20:00

Junior had blood pouring from his left ear for the last 3 rounds. Velasquez's nose looked broken to me as well.

Brutal fight.
