^ I agree those questions do need to be answered but do get the feeling the Government will slap down any calls for an inquiry simply becauae they know they will be facing uncomfortable question if asked to appear. I would say right from thrvstart until the management of the pandemic has been shocking and we should have set the example to Europe when cases were rising not the other way around.

The Chilcott Inquiry found that -

Peaceful options had not been exhausted when Blair chose to commit to an invasion.

Tony Blair deliberately exaggerated the threat from Saddam Hussein

Blair promised Bush that he would back him 8 months before the invasion when UN Weapons Inspectors had not yet completed their work.

No formal record of the decision to go to war exists and that an international court should rule on the legality of the invasion.

Bush ignored UK advice on Post War planning.

The "imminent" threat from Saddam Hussein was a fairy tale.

Information from British Intelligence was flawed at best.

The UK Military were sent to war with inadequate equipment.

Relations with the US would not have been damaged if we had stayed out of it.

Blair ignored warnings about what would happen in Iraq after the war.

There was no post invasion plan.

The UK had zero influence on the US run post war government.

Attempts to keep an accurate records of civilian casualties involved little more than a "broad estimate".

So yes, it proved very little.

First cases of SA variant in UK and six cases confirmed of Brazilian variant (P.1) which is thought to be originally from Manaus and spreads far more rapidly,
Two cases comr from one household in S.Gloucestershire where one memember returned to UK from Brazil before quarantine measures were introduced
a third unlinked person failed to complete their test registration card and has disappeared and a hunt is on to find them.

This is the 'variant of concern' as many medical experts believe it can evade most current vaccines.

The other three cases are thought to be in Scotland.

I'm still unsure how they are going to work the injection programme in the next few months.
They will have groups wanting their second jab as well as those that they give the 1st one.

Is there a way to increase the number of jabs given each day?

^They reckon they can do twice the current daily number so with the supply issues ironed out & Moderna coming on stream soon we could see up to 1 million doses per day.
