RE: Star Trek Discovery - KerrAvon - 31-10-2020 08:44 I thought "People Of Earth" was pretty underwhelming, given a chance to see how Earth really is in the 32rd century. More of an episode to re-establish the status of the crew, a wasted opportunity although more may come later. RE: Star Trek Discovery - *Kal-El* - 31-10-2020 17:01 ^^^ The Emphasis of season 3 isn’t gonna be so much about in Earth in 32nd century the bigger mystery and what’s got me intrigued is what happened to the The Federation/Starfleet but more importantly is what caused the burn to happen. RE: Star Trek Discovery - *Kal-El* - 06-11-2020 09:08 Ep 4 “Forget Me Out”‘Season 3 Two different plot lines in this Ep, the first plot line was much like Star Trek Deep Space Nine right down to a certain location if your very familiar with the show a certain thing is exactly the same. Maybe it’s just me but it felt very reminiscent of DS9. The second plot line is involving the crew of Discovery won’t spoil anything but the nice touch that there only human. Watch out for the DS9, Star Trek Enterprise and even Star Trek Picard references. RE: Star Trek Discovery - Rammyrascal - 06-11-2020 11:47 S3 ep 4 “Forget Me Not” Enjoyed this episode as it focused on how Adira became a host for a trill symbiote & The USS Discovery crew attempt to reconnect with each other with mixed results Interesting to see what’s up with Detmer RE: Star Trek Discovery - *Kal-El* - 06-11-2020 16:05 Forgot to add there’s a reference to one of the Star Trek Shorts. RE: Star Trek Discovery - terence - 06-11-2020 16:50 this is one of the shows i really look forward to every week. i don't have much star trek baggage as i haven't watched a whole lot of the tv shows, but i really like the direction it's going. RE: Star Trek Discovery - skully - 06-11-2020 19:55 I've watched them all, TNG is still probably my favourite, followed by Enterprise, but, Discovery and Picard have added something special. With Discovery, because of the time jump, they are able to do literally whatever they want, which is pretty awesome. If the ship doesn't get awesome upgrades (sure they have the spore drive), I'm gonna be pissed, I want cool upgrades and I want them now. lol. RE: Star Trek Discovery - *Kal-El* - 06-11-2020 20:26 Personally I think it’s a big improvement over the last couple seasons. Although I do like what the sphere data is starting to do to the ship A much better episode for me. Disconnection and connection the theme running through it, and dealing with mental health is a rather timely issue. One thing that I wasn't sure about was if the Trill society 'secret' from DS9 was ever exposed? Get the impression it never was after all these centuries. RE: Star Trek Discovery - *Kal-El* - 08-11-2020 04:54 ^^^ If remember correctly the secret from the Trills regarding that only certain Trills could join but the lie was any one could, they don’t seem to address that other then some of there population during the burn were killed off. All I can say is wait till the next Ep of Discovery regarding the federation. |
