They are like terminal patients putting themselves through unecessary suffering visting faith healers in hopes of a cure. it isnt binding because it was an opposition bill the goverment has to bring a bill forward and then it has to be voted on. the brexiteers know that so them being cunts and tweeting the names of labour mp's who voted against it show how pathetic they are its up to goverment to put forward a coherenet plan and not a few lines on a back of a fag packet if they want article 50 to be triggered by end of march how many of these MP's who voted against this were from constiuencys where a vast majority of the voters who voted them in voted to remain. if they did then the MP has to vote against in democracy an MP should vote the way his constiuents would Thats why Zach goldsmith lost his seat the other week he was a rabid brexiteer in a constituency where nearly 70% voted remain RE: Europe..IN or OUT?? - Rake - 08-12-2016 14:58 Jacob Rees-Mogg destroys Remainers in debate in a wonderfully eloquent and beautifully crafted argument, you simply must see this tour de force: https://twitter.com/leaveeuofficial/status/806560982428434432 RE: Europe..IN or OUT?? - wackawoo - 08-12-2016 16:18 (08-12-2016 14:13 )HannahsPet Wrote:(08-12-2016 13:58 )wackawoo Wrote: I see the remainers are saying the MP vote is 'not binding', seem fond of that phrase. It does show that if the vote went to parliament then the vote would be to trigger article 50, perry sure some plan will already be in place, it's just details. I suspect the timing of this vote is no co incident, it's basically telling the Judges that the MP's will abide by the public vote any way - therefore don't waste time and allow the royal perogative. And language. RE: Europe..IN or OUT?? - Charlemagne - 08-12-2016 16:59 We've had a Parliament for over 600 years and they still don't know who's in charge. Is it Parliament or is it the Goverment RE: Europe..IN or OUT?? - gooner bob - 08-12-2016 18:31 (08-12-2016 16:18 )wackawoo Wrote: I suspect the timing of this vote is no co incident, it's basically telling the Judges that the MP's will abide by the public vote any way - therefore don't waste time and allow the royal perogative. If you were paying attention you'd have noticed that parliament voted in the opposite way to what you suggest. They voted that Parliament DID HAVE responsibility to properly scrutinise the government over Brexit and that it SHOULD NOT be a matter of royal prerogative.
