RE: Ofcom Discussion - RCTV - 21-02-2013 20:59 He scrapped co-opted sector reps. Major mistake, Hooper and Grarf who were before him, Grarf dealt with Babestars TV, but both of those openly admitted they didn't know about the babe channels, and did seek advice. RE: Ofcom Discussion - Scottishbloke - 21-02-2013 21:11 This so-call ofcom panel is getting more and more confusing and baffling by the day. Could you please elaborate further RCTV on what you mean by Ofcom knowing very little about the Babe Channels and having to seek advice elsewhere. Going back then to one of my earlier questions I put to you. You stated that you had experience having had production stints at both Cellcast and Bangbabes Media. Why then if you were brought in to act as an advisor did they not ask you for your input then. So let's get this right, you were working as advisor on the panel. Yet they bring somebody else in for advice. This just doesn't make any sense and neither does it add up also. Please explain further why your experience was not called upon. Totally agree. She was full of shit when she did her last stint here in 2011, and I gave her a neg rep for it. A desire for attention is what seems to drive this 'RCTV' character. She will make wild claims in order to be asked questions about it and be made to feel important. In 2004 RCTV was a junior/trainee runner at one or more babe channels - even if we take that at face value is it credible that Ofcom will 'co-opt' (her favourite word) her for the benefit of her insight and experience? Of course not. How's the PhD and trips to war-torn Iraq going, Clareta? RE: Ofcom Discussion - RCTV - 21-02-2013 22:29 they sought advice from the co-opted members, which is why they were co-opted. I wasn't a runner in 2004, if you actually read what I put I never said I was a runner. I was a runner in 1999, and did a lot of work for BBC between 1999 and 2004. I was freelance in 2004. Had 7 years experience, if you include amdram. Reservist and I got my PhD over a year ago now. RE: Ofcom Discussion - Scottishbloke - 21-02-2013 22:45 RCTV you sort of remind me of a politician in the way in which you like to body swerve an awkward question. So they asked co-opted members and not advisors to the commitee such as yourself who had experience within the Adult Industry. Seems a very strange one to me. I refer you back to my previous post. Why were you not consulted for advice when you obviously ticked all the box's Also please explain to us what a co-opted member actually is. It sounds to me like a quango within a quango Equally baffling is you said this in one of your posts. (21-02-2013 20:59 )RCTV Wrote: He scrapped co-opted sector reps. But then you said this (21-02-2013 22:29 )RCTV Wrote: they sought advice from the co-opted members, which is why they were co-opted. You've got me puzzled. Don't know about anybody else here? RE: Ofcom Discussion - RCTV - 21-02-2013 22:57 it was co-opted from various industry sectors, not just adult. It was the channels decision, if they wanted to take ofcom's offer for either the co-opted member to help them, or one of their advisors (who weren't necessarily trained in that sector, but had production experience) co-opted committee members, are members with a particular skill, but who cannot vote. Wasn't doing adult tv channels at 16, again never said I did. I started as a runner, you will find a lot of runners are young at the BBC. I did also say that from 1997 I was doing amdram, which is experience in production, just not tv, but techniques are easily transferable between theatre and tv. You seem to like assuming things and don't seem to actually read what I say properly. RE: Ofcom Discussion - Scottishbloke - 21-02-2013 23:13 Got to say this Thread was getting somewhat stale. I mean there is only so many times you can call Ofcom all the bastards under the sun before it get's repetitive RCTV please answer my question from the above posts. So very good you have supplied us with a CV with all of your achievements but you still haven't fully answered any of our questions yet. Simple one. You had experience within the adult industry. Why were you not consulted. Afterall doesn't that just contradict your role as an advisor if you couldn't have put it to good use. RE: Ofcom Discussion - RCTV - 21-02-2013 23:14 Scottishbloke after you modification to your post. It's not really confusing, they had co-opted members from sectors, then scrapped them SIMPLE! The channels would be offered advice from ofcom, it was the channels choice if they took it or not. It would then be if I was available or not, as all the co-opted's still actively worked in the industry. |
