Lawler landed 51% of his sig strikes. Carlos landed 35% but Rob was 92/177, Carlos was 176/495! Has to be a record. Amazing fight!!!

Says it all really, and the most amazing thing is Condit hasn't even been guaranteed a re-match yet. What the fuck???

Any thoughts on Bisping Vs Silva guys? I thought Silva looked good for a 40 year old guy who had only fought once in 2 years.
The controversial end to round 3 with the strikes by Silva and I felt the referee should acted a little quicker and called a halt to proceeding so Bisping could have regained his mouthpiece, but whether now Bisping earns a title shot remains to be seen I would not be surprised if after having reviewed the fight they rule it no contest.

Well the bookies seem to think Nate Diaz is nothing more than cannon fodder against Mcgregor tonight, but I think he could be quite tricky.
I hope Conor catches him for a KO.

Well it looks like the bookies were wrong with Diaz beating McGregor by submission

Holly Holm lost her bantamweight title also by submission in Rd 5 to Miesha Tate

He can grapple, but in comparison to his striking it sure does leave some room for desire. He definitely looks most comfortable on his feet where he can let loose with all his flashy kicks etc. But for me therein lies the problem, he's overly confident and wants to wow the crowds instead of keeping some discipline and simply getting the job done.
I think Mcgregor is a formidable striker, he made Nate look amateurish in round one but then got sloppy and was embarrassingly caught.
All those flashy kicks and taunts count for nothing when you're scraping your tapped-out arse off the deck Rolleyes

He certainly learned a harsh lesson for sure, just shows in the fighting game anything can happen. Some people must have lost a lot of money between him and Holms tho Rolleyes

wow we have our first UFC champion as Michael Bisping knocked out Rockhold in first round at UFC 199 to win middleweight title I am actually very pleased for him as I think he deserves it after being Britain most widely recognised UFC star
