RE: Andy Murray - setter1000 - 31-05-2016 19:53 You would think in this day and age they would at least have a roof for the show courts. Typical of the French RE: Andy Murray - Jay1 - 31-05-2016 19:59 (31-05-2016 19:53 )setter1000 Wrote: You woukd think in this day and age they would at least have a roof for the show courts. Typical of the French Surprised they didn't make the rain wait by refusing to take their seats and shouting at it then booing it. RE: Andy Murray - Snooks - 31-05-2016 21:08 ^ . So true RE: Andy Murray - Charlemagne - 01-06-2016 14:34 Gasquet's a set and a break up on Murray RE: Andy Murray - Mellow - 01-06-2016 16:42 Murray is through to the semi-final after beating Gasquet 5-7 7-6 6-0 6-2 RE: Andy Murray - Charlemagne - 01-06-2016 16:56 Ground Gasquet down... Can Murray recover in time to face Stan Wawrinka who won his match in quick time RE: Andy Murray - Snooks - 01-06-2016 22:36 20 sets in five matches. I just hope Murray has enough left in the tank. Wawrinka is a mighty tough challenge. RE: Andy Murray - setter1000 - 01-06-2016 22:49 murray is up against a quality Player on all surfaces but especially on grass. Murray will have to be at his best to win this one. RE: Andy Murray - Regenerated - 02-06-2016 00:35 Excellent win over Gasquet. I got the feeling he was toying with him for the last two sets. We know Murray's a better player than Gasquet. Far more seasoned deep into Grand Slams, far more aware of what is needed to get to semi-finals and finals. Far more titles overall. I do think the Frenchman's backhand is the second best in the world. You know who the other bloke I consider to have the first best backhand in the world? The guy he's playing next - Wawrinka. Seriously though, what a challenge in the semi-finals. If the rain relents enough, what a match in prospect. Stan has won the last three meetings with Andy, without dropping a set, including one on clay (Monte Carlo 2013), in fact Andy's never beaten Stan on clay (record stands at 0-3) and one at grand slam level (US Open 2013 quarter final) with the other being in the World Tour finals at the O2 last year. So to say the odds are stacked against Murray is an understatement. But we know how us Brits like to upset the odds.... RE: Andy Murray - lovebabes56 - 02-06-2016 06:53 I guess there isn't enough money in the government grants in France to allow Roland Garros to build a roof |
