I don't have a mobile, or I should say cellphone to give it its correct name, because I don't want one. I hate the f*cking things. I hate the nerds who annoy me by using them next to me on trains at a decibel level loud enough to be heard over a half mile radius, and those who foul up the traffic by using them illegally while driving, and those who keep others waiting while they deal with non-urgent chit-chat, like the prat ahead of me in the queue at my bank the other day. In particular, I've spent most of my working life plagued by landline calls that stop me working, so I'm f*cked if I'm going to carry a phone around in my pocket. My employers wanted me to have an official one to keep in touch while out of the office. I told 'em where to stuff it.
