Not a landmark as such, more of an observation & query. Yesterday I somehow managed to thank the same post twice, not even sure it was visible to other members, or just an error at my end.
Anyway I figured it was prudent to delete one of them, it was a decent post as far as I can remember, but not worthy of a double thanks from me, although there's been many an occasion when a double-thank was called for (not to be confused with a double-wank, which is something entirely different Important). laugh
Has this happened to anyone else before ? Or could it have been like some sort of a thanking super-power bestowed on me by some higher order (admin), reserved for a select few elite thankers. Cool
Could Skully be the Jedi Master Thanker whom I'm to receive training from, to deliver double-thanks to only the worthiest recipients. I can't carry on randomly dropping inappropriate double-thanks across the Forum, I'll become a laughingstock. EDIT I'll become more of a laughingstock than before.bladewave

You have much to learn old young Padawan. lol.

Double thanks happen every now and again but I've not seen it happen for a while. I remember on one occasion, Steve managed to stick eight on a post belonging to Dan. This was yonks ago (just checked, 2010), Skate put it down to the forum running slow and hitting the thanks button a second time before the first had registered. So maybe it was something like that, page/forum loading slowly at the time of thanking.

It will take a while for me to reach 200k thanks given to be honest but hey 185k given is not too shabby Smile.

516,679 thanks given, a number that will mean nothing to many, but hugely significant to me, as it exceeds by one the mark reached by little known Forum Legend trebble99. A member since the early days of the Forum in 2008 but hasn't been around for the past 18 months. Whether he returns or not, he has contributed massively, & in the best way possible by thanking others contributions. It's an honour to reach the heights of someone who has shown his generosity & gratitude over many years to those who post & add value to the Forum. Respect. An unsung hero.
