Root's counting his teeth after being hit in the visor (and it stuck there) by a 90mph delivery by Mitchell Johnson.
If Johnson causes this much trouble then he looks certain to play in the Ashes down under series.

Root played a brave knock after taking a blow,making 90 not out off 49 balls with 13 fours & a six,good enough to be a match winning innings usually,but Aaron Finch had that in the bag with a record T20 156 off only 63 balls with 11 fours & 14 sixes.
Australia were put into bat by England & amassed 248-6. England could only manage 209-6 as Australia won by 39 runs.

Any team who score 200+ in T20 and lose have got to be unlucky .Hats off to both sides for the entertainment ,particularly Aaron Finch (Aus) & Joe Root (Eng).14 sixes ! innings of his career , surely?
Has Joe Root been taking lessons from Nasser Hussain ? In case you didn't see it ; Nasser Hussain was giving lessons on skys ashes zone in how to avoid bouncers .He got Ian Ward to throw tennis balls at his head ,while Nasser swayed and ducked out of the way .Wardy then progressed to hitting them at Nasser using a tennis raquet .Nasser ducked down to one of them and the ball lodged in his helmet visor exactly like Joe Root .Big difference between a tennis ball and a cricket ball though !

It was bound to happen. There was just too many ones.
Shame that David Shepard is no longer with us.... He'd have been hoping like mad.

Great opening partnership between Lumb 43 & Hales 94 as England posted 195-5.Warner made 53 which was the only sizable contribution with Australia finishing on 168-9 as England won by 27 runs.Dernbach took 3-23.
