247 - 6 at the close doesn't even look good on paper either I feel however 5-0 is going to be the only result and let's face it has been a long time since England have been beaten by that score line in a Test series in Australia!! But at the moment I would say to get draw even now is still going to take some doing!!

We at least a few did show a bit of a fight second innings and good to see Prior guts it out to finally get some runs. It is about the most positive I can be though.

England are damned if they do, damned if they don,t, there is absolutely no point in trying to block the ball out for two days in the hope of getting a draw. Playing your natural game is the way to go at least then you put the opposition bowlers on the back foot. The England batsmen got out to poor shot selection as opposed to recklessness, if you try and avoid every short ball thats comes your way then thats the only type of ball that your going to get and eventually you will get one that you can,t avoid.

Wrong, it hasn't been a long time, it was the tour before last (which was only
7 years ago).

England are being hammered by an average team. That's how it seems to me. Last time we got hammered like this at least it was by a good side. For England is this the end of an era?

If you look at the bare facts Australia just have more players in form than England.Clarke,Warner & Haddin have all scored roughly double the runs of our highest run scorer Root & Johnson almost twice as many as our best Broad.

End of an eraeek bloody hell we have only lost one test, even if we lose the series we will recover and come back even stronger. There are plenty of good young players coming through the system to replace the older ones. Every dog has his day and this is Australia,s at the moment.

It looks like plays going to start soon.

Shame it's not going to rain all day as it would teach the Aussies for not enforcing the follow on

Personally I don't want the rain.
England deserve to be 2-0 down.
No hiding place, England have chucked away too many of their own wickets and dropped crucial catches.
Australia have outplayed England in all departments and all those deficiencies that England got away with on home soil they are not getting away with now against a team with fire in their eyes who want the Ashes back badly.
