They're coining it in at our expense, same as the oil and gas producers.

yeah but if they are coining it in when the oil and gas are not coining it in will means more investment in wind and solar and not in oil and gas which means more solar and wind power and less gas and oil
you then decouple the price of electric from the price of Gas
And we dont get the lights going out in the future

You don't think they'll just pay it out in dividends?
Tax the shit out of excess profits and increase the investment allowances. Then the choice is theirs, invest the money or pay the tax.
We've already been subsidising them for years with the green levy on the bills. That can be binned as well now they can stand on their own two feet.
And sort out the planning so a few nimby Tory immigrants from the cities can't fuck it up for those that are trying to invest in renewables out here, where the sun shines and the wind blows...

She didn't hold back on her views, did she? What bloody mirror did she look in before she made the comments? Truss needs to move her to a department where she can't be allowed to speak publicly and make herself look more of an idiot. Can see the Prison Service having quite a battle with her to get more staff.
