What's been happening in Paris

Police opened fire on a car that tried to break into the route of todays race.
Both occupants of the car have escaped.

Is it a terrorist attack and should todays stage still take place?

Muppets think should come to lancashire if the muppets in the east can have it then why cant we Wink I mean if it wasnt for Chris Boardman on his homemade bike there would be no real growth in cycling and the fact that the home of british cycling is manchester at the velodrome. even team sky is based there

There's a new team on the horizon.
Former England cricket player Mat Prior is the Chief Exec of a company called 'One Pro'.

They've already got teams in some of the lesser events. And they've got plans to enter a team in the Tour de France in the near future

Day One of this years tour.

From Mont St Michel to Utau Beach
Mark Cavendish wins the openning stage and therefore becomes the holder of the yellow jersey for the first time

Fantastic win for Mark Cavendish, especially as his main focus this year is the Rio Olympics & was playing down his tour chances.

Couldn't help but go aww afterwards as Mark got upstaged in the post race interview & on the podium by his daughter Delilah. In the interview he stopped answering questions & focused his attention on Delilah & asked " what has daddy won" to which Delilah said "flowers". He then brought her on the podium & he gave her the flowers & she held them proudly aloft,

Lovely interview too on itv4 with Mark Cavendish's wife Peta, who forum members may remember from her days as a glamour model & sun page 3 girl

Guessing he is trying to get as many wins before the mountains talk of him retiring then so he can go back on the track think he wants a olympic title more than completing tour
