Getting away with the worst of it in East Yorkshire, the rain is set to ease off into the afternoon, winds are at their peak now topping 40mph gust, but set to build up again after midnight. Tomorrow similar with lighter rain. It's set to stay windy until Tuesday which has the best chance of some sun.

On a more positive note, the high winds mean free electricity beteeen 7&9am Tomorrow for Octopus Energy customers. If only i hadn't done a load of washing yesterday. Wankers!!!

Treacherous out this morning. Back roads had 3in of slush on top of ice.
Came up behind a delivery van in the ditch, getting pulled out by a big tractor. Happened to know the guy with the tractor so got out to offer moral support

Same here in The South West, the wind started over night, debris all over the place, mainly branches and sticks, still windy now, although it has calmed down a bit. One minute it's fine and the next minute it's gale force winds, seems very intermittent atm.
Also......
Not saying that it's windy, but my wheelie bin is on a speed awareness course next week!
