Looked like it would be another ridiculous total - well north of 370 to perhaps 400+ So much so that it set me off on my 'Willis long run' about the nonsense pitch conditions, and just how flat and unresponsive to the bowling skills on show they have been in this comp! Thankfully NZ pegged it back, and we now have squeaky bum time for England....Just pinned Nicholls as I type though, so early inroads, and more pressure heaped on K Williamson.

England well on top at the moment - New Zealand currently 136 for 6 after 32 overs so hope England don't throw it away

Maybe this World Cup is finally coming home!!
We wiil play our semi at Edgbaston where we haven't lost in 10 matches - but will admit that it has been lone hell of a rollercoaster ride as an England fan!!

True though!! Still have a gripe about the format and the pitches - onle 3 deliveries today did anything of note. In large part batsmen are getting themselves out in this tournament, Should England pull it off fair play to them. Strange to see NZ suddenly fall of a cliff the way they have.
