RE: Tour de France - Rammyrascal - 02-07-2016 16:51 Yeah think Mark needs 1 or 2 more stage wins now on Tour de France then he is number 1 all time interms of stage wins RE: Tour de France - SecretAgent - 02-07-2016 17:11 I think Eddie Merckx is on 34 stage wins & Cavendish is now on 27 so a bit to go yet Rammy. Bernard Hinault is his next target on 28 wins RE: Tour de France - Rammyrascal - 02-07-2016 17:59 Yeah found the all time stage wins after i posted earlier. Think that will be his focus on this tour, to try & get these wins RE: Tour de France - SecretAgent - 02-07-2016 18:08 ^ I think he'll be happy if he gets another one in the first week. He'll drop out after that to focus on the Olympics as he really wants a gold medal. RE: Tour de France - Tumble_Drier - 02-07-2016 18:51 I wouldn't be too sure about Cav pulling out early, he's not the type and he wants the win on the Champs-Elysees. If he is going out early, then stages 3, 4 & 6 are his best chances in the first week. Stage 2 has a nasty uphill kick at the end and won't really suit the sprinters and Stage 5 has a smattering of Cat 2 + 3 climbs in the last 60K or so... RE: Tour de France - papahet3969 - 02-07-2016 19:28 im waiting for chris froome to come to the fore let the sprinters have their day huh RE: Tour de France - Tumble_Drier - 03-07-2016 21:25 Stage 2. Sagan takes the stage and the yellow & green jerseys. Froome finishes 10th. Contador crashes again (oh what a shame ) RE: Tour de France - mikedafc - 06-07-2016 12:41 i like new graphics showing the respective speeds of leaders on the stage and peleton RE: Tour de France - HannahsPet - 07-07-2016 17:13 Cavendish takes his 29th stage now 2nd on alltime list of stage wins after eddie merx RE: Tour de France - Tumble_Drier - 07-07-2016 19:55 ^ Cavendish is top of the all time list for mass start stages. Mercx only takes the "official" title (for now) due to his additional Time Trial wins. |
