Not so sure about that. if that was their intention they would have run the story yesterday, and maybe even Monday as that spat happened on Sunday, although they may have missed the presses to print on Monday.

The papers aren't a day late, it's just that you seemed to think it was Wednesday when you posted, not Tuesday!
With BB the papers will have numerous stories being researched and will wait until the last minute before publishing, in case something else happens in the house which takes over the focus of interest.
These stories are background and not hot news, which is why they're not so time-critical.
