RE: UFC - lovebabes56 - 04-07-2019 22:27

I agree. I think the Ferguson fight has to happen after the one with Poirier, and then he has to somehow tempt GSP for the last fight, and Dana has to make that happen, and i see that one if it comes off, as being the greatest fight in UFC history.
Khabib should relinquish the title after fighting Ferguson, so that all he puts on the line against GSP, is his reputation and record. I would say 160 would have to be the weight if Khabib met GSP there is no way GSP could get down to 155 after a long time retired. if GSP won't fight him I think a clash with Jon Jones would be just as good for the pound for pound title.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the quicker Khabib demolishes Poirier, the quicker the message he can send out to Dana White; -

"GET ME TONY FERGUSON - NOW!!"

It will be interesting where Jones goes next. He was very respectful of Santos Post fight. Could another rematch with DC be on the horizon?

RE: UFC - Don Tingley - 07-07-2019 15:44

well dominick reyes is top 5 and undefeated. other than that there's blachowicz who ko'd rockhold last night but he lost to santos a few months ago so i can't see them feeding him to jones, he'd probably have to beat someone in the top 5 first. apart from reyes nobody else makes any sense right now. i can't see a 3rd cormier fight at LHW, it would probably be at heavyweight, jones has said he'll do it for the right money

RE: UFC - lovebabes56 - 23-08-2019 07:03

any opinions of UFC 241?

RE: UFC - lovebabes56 - 10-09-2019 08:15

Surely now Ferguson has to get a shot at Khabib even if Khabib has called out McGregor, I still think Ferguson deserves a title shot ahead of McGregor

RE: UFC - lovebabes56 - 10-09-2019 08:28

UFC 243 sees Robert Whittaker defends his title against Israel Adesanya in Melbourne as the main event I think it will be an upset if Whittaker was beatenbut do think Whittaker has to be on his guard as i think Adesanya is a pretty quick moving guy

Ben Askren will return to action on Oct 26 in Singapore

RE: UFC - Bandwagon - 10-09-2019 12:07

McGregor called out Khabib for a rematch in Moscow but it doesn't look like Khabib is interested.
It has to be Tony Feguson now, he has the greatest claim and most likely the best chance too.

But I can see a McGregor vs Khabib rematch though, purely based on per-per-view sales alone. But McGregor will need to put some serious work in especially on his grappling and cardio.

RE: UFC - lovebabes56 - 10-09-2019 17:44

^What my thinking has been is that I see Khabib V Ferguson as being the first step on Khabib cementing his legacy. I think Ferguson would probably give Khabib the fright of his life before Khabib overcame him. Then I agree Khabib V McGregor would do wonders for pay per view sales, but at the same time it could end up not only being a title shot, but also maybe a legacy/retirement fight for either too. I'm not worried if my take on thr situation is one you guys agree or disagree with my comments but I hope this can be a healthy open honest debate, but if McGregor lost, I don't think he would have much else to do with the Octagon. Also, I think Ferguson does have the greater claim to a shot and it HAS to happen because if anything, both him and Khabib have been producing consistent performances & results to make it a mouth - watering fight for many of us. And I am left wondering if McGregor has been out of the Octagon for far too long and he would need a fight or two to get into the sort of shape that he would need to be in to give Khabib a serious run for his money and legacy. That's my opinion of things and if you guys agree or disagree with me it is fine.
