pretty meaningless though as unless they are going to stand in front of a camera and say it means nothing

The same story is coming from too many different directions now for it not to be true. I don't believe for a minute he meant it literally, but it's absolutely the type of hyperbole he would use in the heat of an argument.

The flat thing isn't going away any time soon. There's a civil service enquiry now and the opposition have got their teeth into it because they can smell blood.

Cummings is trying to rehabilitate himself in the public eye by becoming a whistleblower, and I'm sure there's more to come from him, but the truth is he fostered the whole 'the end justifies the means, fuck the truth and fuck the consequences' mentality among Boris and his cronies.

And none of them would turn against him and produce the audio evidence of him saying that probably wouldn't even have him bang to rights.

Even if Cummings is trying to rehabiltate himself asc a whitleblower does he think the public even now would easily forgive him the Barnard Castle shit he spouted this time last year?

The leak enquiry looks now to have turned into a cover up. Johnson briefed 3 newspapers last week that it was Cummings. Cummings responded by saying no he’d been cleared and naming a close friend of Carrie’s who was working for Gove at the time. Cummings also suggested Boris tried to close down the leak enquiry he had demanded take place! Now Sir Simon Case the Cabinet Secretary tells a Parliamentary Cttee that so much time has passed it’s unlikely the culprit will be found. With Johnson’s record as a liar who would any reasonable person believe?

Noticeable as well that Johnson briefed 3 Tory supporting papers but not the Daily Mail who have been running stories against Johnson. If as Tory Leader you lose the Daily Mail which has I believe the biggest readership of Tory backing papers then you are going to be in trouble.

Reminds me of the Yes minster papers sketch....Have always wondered if Johnson has had the same conversation as Hacker & Humphrey did with someone?
Get the feeling there isn't going ot be much of a bloody nose in the locals than therer might be in the bye - election.

In America nearly 8% of people (around 5 million) have not had a 2nd doses of either Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
