Hamilton lost at Queens Park, whilst leaders Ayr lost at Falkirk.

East Stirling got hammered at Broxburn, but remain above Broomhill for now.

Broomhill got a draw, but East Stirling beat Linlithgow 1-0, which is pretty good by our standards.

Result of the night:
East Kilbride 8 (EIGHT) Cowdenbeath 3
Shades of that season when Celtic beat Hamilton 8-3, which I clearly haven't got over yet.

Hamilton lost to Falkirk last night; Falkirk look like the top tip for promotion, whilst Hamilton look to be in a 6-way fight for relegation.

East Stirling beat Gala Fairydean, an even worse team, which is lucky. These may be the first back-to-back wins in a long time.

Hamilton trounced Morton 3-0, though it was still 0-0 after 75 minutes.

Hamilton continued their good form by winning 4-0 at bottom side Airdrie.

But that pales compared to East Stirling trouncing Broomhill 5-0 last night.

And to be fair, Falkirk squashed Morton 6-0, and remain dead certs for promotion.

Cumbernauld Colts 2 East Stirling 3
3 wins in a row? That doesn't happen often enough for us. Up to almost mid-table. However that's probably all the crap teams in a row, so back to losing ways soon.

Also Celtic beat the fearsome... wait a moment... it says here... RB Leipzig.

RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 09-11-2024 21:30

Hamilton got turned over by 2nd place Livingston.

East Stirling could only draw at Gretna, but it's a mark of recent form that this feels like 2 points dropped, rather than good enough.

BBC Scotland come up trumps again. Frank seems content these days, and wistful of his highs and lows. Tony Cottee and Mick McCarthy reflected on how he was a lively risk but worth taking.

Another one of these. Pat Bonner and Willie Miller among the footballing contributors, and Jim Kerr from extra-mural larks. Charlie seemed to see the failures more than the successes.
