I would say for now Jones has to beat either Santos or Cormier in a legacy fight to be GOAT, after defeating Reyes by decision at UFC 247, but would even Khabib jump up to light heavy to challenge Jones for that honour? If I was to pick a legacy fight for Jones it would have to be against Cormier as I think that would be the best legacy fight for him, after that I would say Jones has pretty much cleaned up the light heavyweight division and I don't think there are very few fighters left in that division who could seriously trouble him.

RE: UFC - Don Tingley - 09-02-2020 09:47

the only rematch that makes any sense for jones is santos, that is jones' only win by decision that was split, rest were unanimous. i don't think cormier is ever gonna cut to light heavyweight again. the problem i have with what a lot of people are saying is that jones would have to move up to heavyweight and either beat cormier there or win the title to be considered the best ever, that's bullshit to me. it wasn't the most convincing win but he looked better in the 5th round than he did all fight and reyes had to be carried around the arena after the fight. there's just nobody for him right now at LHW. he could move up or sit out for a while and wait for some competition at LHW. moving up to HW makes more sense i think but he doesn't have to do that to prove anything. corey anderson is ranked 5th and fights next weekend, if he puts on a show and wins then he might call out jones

I think depending on how convincing Anderson is next weekend he probably would likely call out Jones before Jones took on Santos since Santos isNo.1 challenger. Where do hyou see Cejudo's next defence or fight- at Bantam or flyweight? Good to see Darren Till ranked fifth at middleweight.

RE: UFC - Don Tingley - 09-02-2020 10:27

cejudo has vacated the flyweight title already, doubt he will fight at that weight again

Just seen the Anderson Blachowicz fight wow what a shot that was!! Have to say Blachowicz V Jones has to happen somewhere down the line

RE: UFC - Don Tingley - 24-02-2020 22:01

cejudo v aldo booked for ufc 250 in may, looking forward to that

Who is likely to be the next British fighter to get a title shot? I would say if Darren Till continues putting in good performances I think he'll get a title shot before the end of the year.

it's the scottish joanne calderwood, she's fighting shevchenko in june for the title

only benavidez can win the title tomorrow in the main event since figueiredo missed weight. cutelaba/ankalaev on the main card should be a good fight
