RE: Cricket Banter - lovebabes56 - 14-08-2013 10:06 That's what I thought Jack!! But like I said walking is a personal thing I suppose the only reason not to walk if you feel you have not made an edge. remember the storm over KP last time we were in Aussie and Ponting got irate? RE: Cricket Banter - Jack Bishop - 14-08-2013 10:41 Yes quite right it is a personal thing. I always walked if if I knew I was out. However guess it is a be different for the pros. Named "The Run Reaper" ,apparently it was like a traditional bat but was riddled with holes drilled through the bat's face .This he says was to help it move quicker through the air ,due to there being less wind resistance .Think Bob said it was made by Duncan Fearnley .Needless to say , "The Run Reaper" never took off . Willis also famously walked out to bat without actually remembering to take a bat ! RE: Cricket Banter - Jack Bishop - 14-08-2013 11:16 ^ Doubt it would have made a lot of difference. RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 14-08-2013 14:29 Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens has been charged by the ICC for failing to report a corrupt approach in the Bangladesh Premier League. RE: Cricket Banter - Jack Bishop - 14-08-2013 17:30 Yes saw that. Probably one of the best players in recent times (certainly in the 1 day game) not to get an England call up. Lets hope it gets sorted quickly. RE: Cricket Banter - Jack Bishop - 17-08-2013 14:04 Well looks to be a fantastic pitch at Edbaston for T20 finals day. Lets hope the weather holds. Congrats to Northants for a great performance with brilliant batting at the end to put Essex out in the first semi. Next up Hants v Surrey. RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 19-08-2013 14:28 Monty Panesar will leave Sussex at the end of the season & will be but out on load for the rest of this season, but not his old club Northhants who don't have the cash this year but could make a deal for next year. Monty has apologized for his antics & says he wants to regain an England recall. RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 19-08-2013 16:58 Latest news on Monty is he will be be joining Essex on loan who play Northhants on Tuesday. RE: Cricket Banter - lovebabes56 - 20-08-2013 08:27 I guess even after apologising any chances of Monty getting a recall have disappeared. It was nice to have seen him apologise, but I personally any further England appearances have been well and truly pissed. |
