Remember the part in Back To The Future Part II where in 2015 in McFly residents Michael J Fox is playing three different characters around the table playing his son, his daughter and of course the older Marty McFly. Notice the pizza has half meat and half vegetables, you notice that Marty McFly Jnr is picking the meat off the pizza is meant to be a little joke as Michael J Fox in real is a a vegetarian.

TV fact. The defunct satellite channel Granada Men & Motors(in the 1990's) once got their wires crossed and tried to book a model called Teresa May BUT sent out a request to MP Theresa May instead. She said she was flattered but obviously they wanted the other one(with an H in her name)

This is both film and television. If you've ever watched Carry On Camping there was a girl in that, the cohort of Barbara Windsor causing chaos for Kenneth Williams and Hattie Jacques. The girl's name in question was Sandra Caron, a fairly non-starring role but probably helped being with Barbara. Anyway fast forward to the 1990's and the Richard O'Brien era of the successful Channel 4 game show series 'The Crystal Maze' and later in the series he introduced a woman whom he called 'Mumsy', who would be stuck inside one of the rooms in the Medieval Zone and ask questions of the contestants. That was Sandra Caron, the self-same girl that in the 60's had been in 'Carry On Camping' She was also his 'Auntie' for other series although it was never explained why(his explanation was that Mumsy had run off with someone called Ralph!)

When doing a remake of 'Raise the Titanic' the late television and movie mogul Lew Grade(he who brought us Thunderbirds and The Muppets) said it would have been cheaper to lower the Atlantic. Big Grin

In the film ZULU, with Michael Caine, a real life Zulu leader was part of the cast-Chief Mangosuthu Buthelezi playing his real-life great-grandfather King Cetshwayo Kampande and also served as an adviser to the film.

In the film Titanic(with Kate Winslet and Leonardo Di Caprio) James Cameron the director drew that Charcoal picture of naked Kate Winslet.

Originally the Carry On Films were supposed to be a lot more adult in tone but the BBFC weren’t haven’t it and wanted the films censored so how the film makers got around it was use double entendres which I think works so much better and a lot funnier.

Actor Roger C. Carmel who played Harry Mudd was going reprise his role of that character in the first season of Star Trek Next Generation but died before filming.

It is well known in movie circles that if a director doesn't want to be associated with a film because it is really bad or other he will ask to be removed and the name Alan Smithie(s) will be added instead. Not sure where the name came from but I do remember a film with that added and it starred Eric Idle and Catherine Zeta-Jones but I forget the name of it.

The original Robocop suit was so uncomfortable and with the warm weather well filming that Actor Peter Weller was losing three pounds a day due to sweating. The suits in the sequels were built with a fan to the actor cool while filming.
