^No they're just privatizing it instead. If that process carries on we will end up with an American style health system.

Until Labour are prepared to admit to the mistakes of the past the electorate will never truly trust them again. There are still far too many of the old guard, a constant reminder of their past failures.

Labour have been scare mongering about them destroying the NHS since 92 and they didnt the privatising of the NHS started under Blair with the PFI projects

they have been crying wolf for so long no one believes it anymore

This whole 'weaponise' phrase is in itself the worst kind of American hyperbole. What the Tories were basically saying was "Don't use our plans against us in such a shocking way!" Well wth not? Were they saying the issue should have been treated with kid gloves for some reason?!

But thanks for confirming your reasons for voting the way you did Hannahspet. Your honesty is appreciated. I'm sure your views were reflected in a lot of the votes cast yesterday.

No doubt the privatisation vultures are already circling the NHS looking for more bits to prey on.
Britain it seems has become a nation now where too may people don't care for anybody else anymore.A nation where the poor, sick
& disabled are to be villified and punished rather than helped. Nearly a million people using food banks in Britain in the 21st century should be a cause of shame not celebration. And yet we have a govt that happily allows wealthy individuals to move their fortunes off shore and allows large corporations to make billions in profits every year and pay little or no tax, but hey mustn't criticise industry must we not when benefit claimants are such an easy target.

How & should we change the voting system? If there is a fair way to determine results other than our outdated system!.....

RE: General Election Vote - brummie - 08-05-2015 19:35

Not as straight forward as it would first appear. The obvvious answer would be proportional representation with seats allocated based on the percentage of votes. Would this be fairer than a Tory majority governmemt with only 36% support, possibly, but then nobody voted for a coalition, which would be the result of PR elections pretty much guaranteed. You would also remove the effects of a good local constituency MP and local issues.
Positives are no voted is wasted, if you live in a safe Tory or Labour seat and you happen to support the other side too ofton it is seen as being excluded from having a voice.

I'm very glad you are an exceptional speller, odd, because your reading is a little awry (leaving aside I spell checked it on word), everything I responded to was in the post I was responding to; as for personal insults, it's a matter of how sensitive you are, but pretty much saying people are not entitled to their benefits because they are disgracefully easy to get is pretty much insulting to people who HAVE to live on these benefits, let alone sadam was a good idea.

^ I have to say that was a pretty accurate and close poll wonder if we should submit to the Government or the BBC next time for accurate exit poll?
It looks pretty accurate and eerily as close as you could get as an exit poll result I think mate, so should we be prepared if the BBC come
knocking in 2020?
