They gave Christian the belt for two reasons Impact wanted it on a forma champ who could then have the gravity to retire the tna belt again which he will do on his first night in impact and aew wanted to elevate him back into the world title winning level as they have plans for him to win the aew belt next year

So they prioritise another companies plans over their own, a smaller company at that. They’re the ones doing impact a favour. Giving up omegas first loss in forever to them is plain idiotic.
Him winning the impact title doesn’t elevate him at all. He’s as big as he’ll get. With his career, he’d have to lose every week for a while to lose his value.
With omega not dropping belt for a while and hangman, black, mjf about, with potential arrivals of punk and Bryan, Christian isn’t gonna be in the mix for the title.
All in all just a waste of a moment. Even more so if you think omega gets the title back

ROH are stopping doing shows after there december one and are releasing all there wrestlers from there contracts they are then taking 5 months off looking to restart as a new type of show in april 2022, hard to think they where at one point the 2nd biggest wrestling company in USA they never really recovered from the likes of AJ, Joe, Bryan and CM leaving,

^^
Did mention this in the Impact Wrestling thread yesterday as in there I said I expect Jonathan Gresham to go to Impact after ROH allowed their talent to work elsewhere immediately as he'd be great in the X-Division and the world title picture plus his wife is in Impact.

Arguably they had their strongest roster from top to bottom 2009-12 with the likes of Tyler Black, Steen, Briscoes, El Generico, O'Reilly, Strong, Kings of Wrestling, Daniels, Mcguiness and Jay Lethal to name a few. Tony Khan deciding to form AEW was the final nail in the coffin.

Anyone else watching Terminus on the 16th January which is a new promotion launched by ROH Champion Jonathan Gresham. I'm going to give it a go
