The demise of Studio 66 was probably because they went bust lol, or to be more accurate they went into voluntary liquidation .
Studio 66 owed money all over the place
They owed money to :
Virgin Media
London Borough of Hounslow
Zing Environment LTD
Barclays Bank
HM Revenue & Customs
Eli Nathenson (Former Main Share Holder of the Company)
It could be that, it may not have been their decision to leave TV, it could have been forced on them, because they also owed money to Arqiva LTD, a company that deals with the transmission of tv channel broadcasts on Freeview and Sky, so they had to leave TV, so as you say without TV exposure they didn't have a viable business model

There's no 'probably' about this. It's a fact that they went bust.

It wasn't forced on them. Definitely not. If they thought they needed to be on TV they would have stayed on TV to the end.
They were saying for months that they weren't getting many calls from TV anymore, which is fair enough. But they seemed not to realise that it was TV that was driving traffic to their website. That was their big mistake.

There is no evidence that this is true. They may have owed money to Arqiva at the time of liquidation, but it's the time when they decided to leave TV which is relevant here. You're getting confused between two quite different dates. Look at the last balance sheet they filed before they left TV - it was healthy enough, as they were carrying very little debt at the time. Their statement of affairs at the time of liquidation is simply not relevant to decisions taken earlier in much different financial circumstances.

I don't know if it'd been paid, somehow, before its end, but as I referenced in my reflections in the 66 Closure thread, there was a fine of £15,000 by OFCOM in August: https://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=86342&pid=2749021#pid2749021
I also mentioned Xpanded's being the last owner of the RLC/Playboy TV Chat brand.. which as I elaborated in this post considering Xpanded's position in the state of the babeshows: https://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=49998&pid=2756203#pid2756203 I'm not quite sure what happened with that, despite my being on Xpanded's own (defunct) forum, during that time. From which I was expelled, after a few years, notwithstanding.. However, that seems to have been a blip in Xpanded's trajectory, as otherwise it hasn't made a "big push" on tv:
https://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=49998&pid=2749340#pid2749340 Hence, of the three longstanding operators, Xpanded might be the only one which could withstand leaving tv.
Although since I was ousted from its forum, which closed two or three years later, most of the time I've paid little attention to the exclusively webcam women at Xpanded: https://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=49998&pid=2780948#pid2780948
This post would be much longer, if I repeated what's in the links.. but it will be best understood by following them....

I used the Xpanded chat and forum a lot when it was up and running. And when the RLC/Playboy connection finish, I was hopeful that the shows at the time, which were very tame, both RLC and Xpanded, they would improve after the change over. Sadly, this was not the case.

XP have at no point ever owned rlc or the rlc brand, trust me on that,
I would like to know why you think that rlc was ever xp owned ?

^ I think he's confusing Playboy at one point moving their branding from RLC to Xpanded. Yes Xpanded itself has never had anything to do with RLC.
The sad thing about S66's self inflicted demise is that there's little competition to keep BS on their toes anymore. It now is literally laying on its beds just like most of their babes, just collecting easy money for nothing. The babe channels were a much richer place for punters when they were multiple babe channels.

I think KerrAvon is right up to a point. Without much competition there is simply no incentive to improve the quality of services on offer. However, Babestation is more of a camsite now than a TV channel, so I would have thought they do have to try and compete with other camsites.

Looks like technical issues again tonight as no nightbabes have appeared on Sky so far.....the end is nigh!!

^ Last time you joked about that we ended up with pages of bollocks on this thread about S66 and Expanded!

Think Rammy wants everyone to get there bollocks out again.
