It appears that out of the 870 people in hospital very few of them have had 2 doses of a jab. Proving that the vaccine is very effective.

For the first time in well over a year, there were 0 Covid deaths.
Hospitalisations are down and the total number of cases is also down.
Yes these are weekend/bank holiday figures, but the weekly numbers are also down.
But the best figure is the number of cases in Bolton, which have come down dramatically. However they are still high but going the right way.

There's talk (Daily Mail) of a new variant in Napal. Rumours are saying that the vaccines may not work on it.
But WHO are saying that they are not aware of this variant and that the virus of concern in Napal is the Indian variant.

I kinda wish Trump was president right now. He’d be furious that all these other loser countries have ‘variants’ that everyone is talking about.

the one to worry about is the viatnam one as that is actually able to beat the vaccine and will be the first one that they actually have to build a new vaccine for,

No new countries added to the green list. Portugal now added to the amber list and 7 of the amber countries going into the red list.
Comes into force on Tuesday morning.

The UK regulators have given approval for the Pfizer vaccine to be given to those aged between 12 -15 year old.
