RE: Forum activity (or the lack of) - The Silent Majority - 09-12-2012 11:39

I don't get around the forum that much (partly lack of time and partly because I only have freeview and many of the sections are of little interest) and much of the forum 'politics' goes over my head.
However, I had a small argument with another member which was moved to the twilight zone (fair enough) and subsequently deleted Huh
This exchange was nothing more than a bit of 'light sparring', not abusive and, in fact, positively civilised compared with some of the crap in there.

Previously I would have taken the 'protection' theories with a pinch of salt. But now, not so sure........

There seems to be one or two who seem to get confused with site rules and there own personal opinions = site rule.

They remove post, threads, with no explanation, purely becasue they don't agree with it. Some even slapping unexplained warnings on poeple with no justification.

I use to mod on a site much bigger than this and mods like that would be removed, they are the type who seem to get a power trip out of it.

As long as there are no site rules broken post should remain, what makes this place especially bad, they may say, remove a post comment that may not like a minor thing about a certain model, but allow the most nasty on going comments against others.

Inconsistancies and clear favouratism will never go down well with members.

It will be noticed.

See how long this post lasts.

LMAO!! What a hypocrite! Follow the link gazfc posted and look at you jumping to the defence of mods you now criticise. Your attitude towards me and others here was inevitably going to land you with a warning, so don't cry about it now you baby.

'Thankfully, the moderators do a very good job and are probaly more objective and can see through this.

Therefore your critisms of the mods are a little groundless, they can't help people being hypersensitive and not reading post properly like they obviously do.'

You were right about the 7 days time, but wrong about Rammy. It was dan g 27 who took us to the million mark.

PS. Jam Da Man did the post immediately before and also the post immediately after.

So . . . do I get a prize then for defying the odds?Huh

In that case, if Jam Da Man deleted his first post, his second one would become the millionth.
But that would be cheating. Smile

RE: Forum activity (or the lack of) - Jam Da Man - 11-12-2012 18:47

I wasn't trying to get the millionth post, honest! #SpamPostFail Wink

If we were to be really literal though, then TheWatcher's post above reads as 'pid1180075' - well over the 1 million mark.

But anyway - well done Dan. Smile

I blame those bastards who sign up for the forum and are mightily enthused for about a year and a half and then gradually lose enthusiasm as their thank and reputation rate slows down for the lack of forum activity.

Egomaniacs who are only concerned as to their status in the eyes of others and then flounce off in a huff when they do not get the recognition they feel they deserve only to then appear spasmodically with barbed and bitter comments.

Bastards them sorts. Wink

Damn, shame to see dirk leave Sad

Got to know him quite well over the past year. He's always been a huge help whenever I've needed it. He spent hours of his time helping me on more than one occasion. Always thought he was a bit of a genius. Farewell mate.
