I think that Kansas City are on a role and will role Baltimore aside.

^^ You got that right Charle, so far. A high quality 1st half, the Chiefs are a Playoff team, all the dropped catches & misfiring offense during the regular season looks behind them.
What a joke about Andy Reid retiring, why would he with the genius of Mahones, he could carry on & surpass the Belichick/Brady reign.

It just feels that the AFC are more stacked with QB talent, it will have to take something special in the coming years from the NFC to prevent a dominance.

I hope the Niners don't go down the route of penalties like the Ravens have tonight, they have to show discipline, it's a fine line between having an aggressive defense & hurting your team with penalties.

Super Bowl 58
Chiefs vs 49ers
A rematch of Super Bowl 54

I thought the Chiefs defense played outstanding against the Ravens. Lamar Jackson is taking a lot of flak for coming up short. Honestly, there wasn't that many open receivers. The Ravens defense kept them in the game, but in the end two turnovers in the end zone in the second half, too much to overcome

49ers vs Lions
Wow, what did I just watch?
Lions storm out to a 17 point lead at Halftime, only to watch their season slip away. A few Ultra Aggressive 4th down decisions from the Dan Campbell doomed the Lions. The tidal wave of momentum the 49ers had in the second half was just insane. Hats off to them for two big comebacks in a row

Should be a good game between the Chiefs and 49ers

^^ He should be called Dan Gamble. He resisted to go for it on 4th down at the end of the half, which would've made it a 21 point game & maybe no way back for the 49ers.
Purdy is a fighter, he took some hits. Doesn't seem to be getting the protection that he did earlier in the season. On the other side of the ball the defense couldn't get close to Goff, again the pass rush a dried up, it was only by sending an extra man that they hurries Goff in the 2nd half.
Not playing well for me, & certainly not well enough to compete with the Chiefs. I agree with your point, the Chiefs D were quality & have been all season.
I haven't seen any early odds, the 49ers are clearly underdogs, I'm making the Chiefs 13 points favourites.

The Line may shift, but at the moment, the 49ers are 2.5 point favorites
I thought Purdy did a great job with his legs in the second half
When they needed a big first down, he delivered

That Brandon Aiyuk catch was something else

^^ I wonder if the betting odds are more to do with the Niners being NFC No.1 seed & the Chiefs AFC No.3 seed. If you take both Championship games in isolation the Chiefs were very clinical on both sides of the ball, the Niners less so.
Purdy doesn't have the agility of Mahomes, the speed of Jackson or the ability to break tackles like Allen, but he's an underrated scrambler. I would like to see him do this more often, he has been holing on to the ball too long for me, tacking sacks & the ball is getting tipped a lot. He is forcing passes when throwing it away is abetter option, or just take off & run. For some reason they've gone away from the 3 step drop quick short pass concept which was their staple.
The Aiyuk catch was a game changers, there was a similar throw down the sideline that would've been a pick if Aiyuk hadn't broke it up.
I liked the explanation about the freak catch, the Ladybug landing on his shoe bringing luck. We call them Ladybirds in the UK for some reason, which is odd, they're bugs or insects as we would say, but not birds.

He really is living up to the Joe Montana label then Wink, another underrated scrambler when he needed to

I'm with you, I just can't see past the Chiefs for the SB now. Andy Reid won't be letting the 49ers current flaws off the hook, like the Packers and Lions did.

^^ It's a shame that it's not enough to be a Montana pocket passer in todays NFL, it worked ok for Brady, but he had a rocket arm. Doing all the unscripted stuff doesn't guarantee a Super Bowl win, Favre won one to Montana's 4.
