RE: DAVID HAYE VS NIKOLAI VALUEV - Josh - 08-11-2009 00:12 Alanafan, not having a go, but its not uncommon for boxers to get injured in the build up to fights. Have you ever wondered why neither of the klitschko brothers have ever faced Valuev? They have all been around a long time. David Haye fought him after 2 fights at heavyweight. Granted it wasn't much of a spectacle tonight, but Haye is the most exciting heavyweight out there at the moment. That just shows how poor the division is. Well done David Haye. Not a bad feat beating a guy who is nearly a foot taller and 7 stones heavier. Valuev may be 36, but most heavyweights hit their peak at that age in recent times. Plus, Haye is the first guy to ever hurt and stumble the giant. RE: DAVID HAYE VS NIKOLAI VALUEV - louise porter fan - 08-11-2009 00:17 Well done David Haye Boxing and the heavyweight division needed that The yanks will adopt him now haha RE: DAVID HAYE VS NIKOLAI VALUEV - whothat - 08-11-2009 09:34 not sure he did "enough" to take the tittle away from a champ in his own back yard. but I had him winning just, clearly landing the better punches RE: DAVID HAYE VS NIKOLAI VALUEV - Rammyrascal - 08-11-2009 13:56 not a boxing fan but well done david a brill performance. since this is a babechannel forum did anyone see donna duke who was there as a ring girl RE: DAVID HAYE VS NIKOLAI VALUEV - mas0887 - 09-11-2009 01:16 Yeah I think somebody posted it somewhere on here already. I want a rematch now, because reports are Haye fractured his right hand in the 2nd Round, and he still managed to make him wobble, so I want a rematch to see him knock that giant out. But I think he is defending it to a Yank, John Ruiz I heard. RE: DAVID HAYE VS NIKOLAI VALUEV - Bunna - 09-11-2009 13:44 it was a poor fight, I had an idea Haye would adopt those tactics and all credit to him he got the decision, I have to say Alanafan your comments in this thread are unfair towards Haye, you obviously don't like him but your assessment of the fighter should be more balanced and not based on your dislike of the man. As for Haye's next fight, John Ruiz stepped aside so this fight could happen on the proviso he gets to fight the winner. RE: DAVID HAYE VS NIKOLAI VALUEV - mas0887 - 10-11-2009 03:44 Yeah alanafan really just seems to hate Haye: "yh but he was ment to fight 1 o the bros and never cuz he hurt his back and he beat some 1 who big asset is his height and he was getting on in age but we see who next in line and see if haye can keep the title " He was the one that challenged the Klitschko's, so obviously if he hurt his back it was legit, and it wasn't as if he backed down, he still wanted the fight just at a later date, but the Klitschko's scheduled other fights because they were not willing to wait and wanted money. So what choice was Haye left with? He wanted a Championship shot and there was only one other Champion at Heavyweight, it is not as if fighting somebody that size is the easy option. And I do not see what age has got to do with it, you can only beat who is in front of you, he wanted the title and so he had to fight a 36 year old, if after the Klitchko deal broke through he chose to fight Oleg Maskaev or something that is different, but Valuez is the Champion, he had to beat him to become Champion, so saying he fought an aging fighter like it was his decision is really stupid. It was his choice but he had to do it to become Champion so it kinda wasn't. Plus Haye will get to the Klitschko's if he beats Ruiz (which he should in all honesty). I would really like to know, why do you hate the fighter that much? |
