Although if Professor Moriarty was banned from a forum, I'm sure that when he registered again, he wouldn't do so under the same d.o.b. RE: Strike-through names - oopnorth - 03-08-2010 14:14 thinwhiteduke, banned? RE: Strike-through names - rickhardo - 03-08-2010 14:23 (03-08-2010 14:14 )oopnorth Wrote: thinwhiteduke, banned? He posted that he was leaving but I'm not sure where the post is. Seemed to be his decision anyway. RE: Strike-through names - Chilly - 03-08-2010 14:38 ^^^^ He did. If I remember correctly, he also had a rant at admin in his final post. RE: Strike-through names - oopnorth - 03-08-2010 15:15 Cheers guys, I also got a pm saying something similar, bit of a shame, he was good contributor to the forum. Admin's in a similar position to a channel or one of the girls and can't please everyone all of the time but should expect to be in the firing line every now and then. Names with a ------------ - Money_Shot - 14-08-2011 17:58 I have noticed in the past names with a line through them, and assumed they were just banned users, then today I noticed a bloke called "Anfield" . He had made a few thanks, but had a line through his name, he had only 1 post, which wasn't accessible, he must have made a pretty bad posts So anyway, can I confirm, members names with lines through them are banned ? RE: Names with a ------------ - skully - 14-08-2011 18:03 Yes, the line through a members name means that they've been banned. Unless the custom title says otherwise, like closed by request. RE: Names with a ------------ - Money_Shot - 14-08-2011 18:05 Cheers Skully! A bit of common sense will tell you what will or will not get you banned I guess, just found it odd that bloke was banned after one post. RE: Names with a ------------ - skully - 14-08-2011 18:09 No problem. If a member is banned fairly quickly, it's because they're a spammer, or a previously banned member. |
